    Good evening Craig and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch.
    We are actively working on a fix for this.

    Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date for a fix at this point.

    But you will be contacted as soon as there is one.

    In the meantime, we have identified the cause of the issue and there is a workaround available.

    When the setting under Events > Settings > Tickets tab > Try to set the status of new ticket orders to “complete” automatically is switched on then any order made with PayPal or Cash on Delivery is marked completed before any payment has been done.

    To prevent this from happening, you can simply switch that option off.

    Some of our customers are using the following snippet in their theme’s functions.php file instead: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/automatically-complete-orders/

    Thank you for your patience as we see this through.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Greg,

    I am still chasing this one to have a better solution.

    In the meantime, it appears that downgrading to Core 4.3.5 and Pro 4.3.4 fixes the organizer/venue issue.

    Have a good weekend and more on Monday,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Jonathan,

    After examination, it looks like the Shield plugin is really blocking a lot of options in your wp-admin.

    I believe it requires more than simply deactivating the plugin for the effects to go away.
    So I would recommend digging deeper into this first.

    The other thing I would recommend trying is to temporarily switch WordPress theme (after a DB backup and theme options backup to be extra safe) to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen (you can have a maintenance page plugin active while you do that).

    Have a good weekend,

    Good evening Bart,

    Hmmm, I do not believe it should say your license is expired, but the second message is “normal”.

    If I did not know any better, I would say that this looks like there is a caching plugin in place still going under your old license.

    It might seem a bit extreme, but after a database backup to be extra safe AND with SGPress deactivated and emptied, try deactivating, deleting and reinstalling the the Events Calendar plugins.

    Let me know if that solves it.

    Have a good weekend,

    Good evening Frank,

    I am sorry steps 1 and 3 did not yield better results.

    There has indeed some issues with some of our customers using Bridge, but they have always been resolved and none of them fit specifically this situation.

    Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your Bridge theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

    Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
    This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.

    Finally, I am not yet 100% convinced this is theme related. If you get a chance to run test 2, I would be curious to know what your findings are.

    Have a good weekend,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Doug,

    I am glad you were able to dig deeper and find the real culprit!
    Kudos!

    To answer your questions, the event title input field can be targeted using the following CSS rule:

    .events-community-post-title #post_title {
    width: 40%;
    }

    As for adding placeholders, this is a bit outside the scope of our support, but you could totally get started by reading article such as:

    1. https://wordpress.org/support/topic/remove-placeholder-text-from-wordpress-search-function/

    Have a good weekend,

    Geoff B.
