ParticipantHello,
After updating The Events Calendar plugin, Event Tickets, and one other Event plugin, at first, it crashed the site and I had to delete the Event Tickets plugin in order to get the site running again. Then, I reinstalled the Event Tickets, everything appeared to be running normal, but The Events Calendar has disabled the ability to leave comments on events and other posts. I tested the plugin by disabling The Events Calendar, the comments field came back. I reactivated The Events Calendar, all the comment fields went away.
If I uninstall and reinstalled back to preview version, the website will crash with the following error.
Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘InvalidArgumentException’ with message ‘No constructor with the tickets.handler alias is registered’ in /home/cyclistz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/common/vendor/lucatume/di52/src/tad/DI52/Container.php:138 Stack trace: #0 /home/cyclistz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/common/vendor/lucatume/di52/src/tad/DI52/Container.php(122): tad_DI52_Container->assertCtorAlias(‘tickets.handler’) #1 /home/cyclistz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/common/src/Tribe/Container.php(173): tad_DI52_Container->make(‘tickets.handler’) #2 /home/cyclistz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/Tribe/Tickets_Handler.php(737): tribe(‘tickets.handler’) #3 /home/cyclistz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/Tribe/Tickets.php(341): Tribe__Tickets__Tickets_Handler::instance() #4 /home/cyclistz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/Tribe/RSVP.php(162): Tribe__Tickets__Tickets->__construct() #5 /home/cyclistz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-tick in /home/cyclistz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/common/vendor/lucatume/di52/src/tad/DI52/Container.php on line 138

MemberGood evening Tien and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the issues you have encountered while upgrading our plugins. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic. As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
At this stage it’s hard to say what caused the crash without the system information,
However, I can tell you that there is indeed a glitch that removes comments. We apologize for the inconvenience this might have caused.
We are actively working on a fix for this.
Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date for a fix at this point.
But you will be contacted as soon as there is one.Thank you for your patience as we see this through.
In the meantime, it has been established that the bug is tied to the Community Events plugin, not the Events Calendar. Reverting back to version 4.3.2 of that plugin solves that specific issue.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood afternoon Tien,
Thank you for providing your system information.
It looks like you have the latest version of pretty much everything which is awesome.
With that in mind, to solve the comment issue (until the fix is released), I would recommend downgrading both Community Events and Community Tickets to the previous version. Here is an article on how to do that: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/
Thank you for your patience as we fix Community Events.
Best regards,
Geoff B.
