    Good evening Greg,

Grrrr. I see what you mean!

You are right, this is very frustrating indeed.
I have been able to reproduce the issue on my end.

I have also started some deep testing to find out what is going on.

For the moment, I did find a workaround, but it’s not great.
You need to switch to the ” Translate the theme and plugins using WPML’s String Translation only (don’t load .mo files)” option and make sure all the translations of the “category” slug are removed for our plugin.

Hang tight as I make this my top priority.

I will report my findings later today.

    Regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Luthfi,

I am stoked you are making progress.

I believe this means that you need to re-save your permalinks or to go through the different Cleanup buttons of WPML recovery (the ones at the top of the page only)

Make sure you also empty all caches.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Rupert,

Actually, when I visit your site, I do see the changes on my end.

    Maybe it’s a browser cache issue ?
Could you try again after clearing your cache (or in “private” mode) ?

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Cyril,

    Thank you for your answer.

At this point it is hard to say for sure what is causing these issues, but I would like to investigate this with you.

One thing I would recommend is to make sure you re-save your permalinks after deactivating every plugin AND re-saving every problematic event.

Could you provide me with specific examples of URLs that create that issue ?

I am also noticing that your PHP max execution is set to -1. You might want to tweak your server to set that to at least 30 (if not 300).

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
<p class=”p1″><span class=”s1″>Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)</span>
Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Good evening Katja,

    Thank you for your answer.

    1) As I said, all my translation files are in that directory: /wp-content/languages/plugins/

Awesome. In that case I believe it is a combination of 2 things:

    1. Our language files being in bad shape lately
    2. The fact that your files are in  /wp-content/languages/plugins/ means that they no longer get updated. You have to perform this task either with Loco translate or Poedit.

    2) All is the first filter of the portfolio/project page http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects (All Atelier Musik Tanz Werkstatt) and means Alle in german.

This filter is not typical of our plugins (although it is great). I believe it comes from your theme.
This means that IF that string is translatable, you will find it in your theme’s language files.

    3) Which file of all the files? I searched it and didn´t find it.

Thank you for sharing the correct spelling.
I believe this issue has been discussed over the translation forums.

Am I correct by assuming that this is related to the formal vs informal versions of German ?

I might have my colleague Andras (who speaks German) pitch in to help out on this one.

    Hang tight!

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Julie,

It seems like the automated emails of my replies are somehow not making it through to you.
Our apologies for this unfortunate situation.

Hopefully this message will get to your inbox.
To avoid any further delays, I would recommend logging in to the forums instead of relying solely on email.

At this point, to move things along, here are the recommended next steps:

    1. Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.

    2. Could you temporarily switch themes (after a database backup) to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen ?

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.
