MemberGood evening Keith and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch.
We are actively working on a fix for this.Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date for a fix at this point.
But you will be contacted as soon as there is one.In the meantime, we do have a workaround:
Create a template override:
1. Copy this file
wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/views/pro/widgets/modules/single-event.php
to
wp-content\themes\{your-theme}\tribe-events\pro\widgets\modules\single-event.php2. Open it for editing and add these two lines in the beginning:
$zip = tribe_get_zip();
$region = tribe_get_region();3. Save.
Thank you for your patience as we see this through.
Best regards,

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.Yes, the calendar is translated in Spanish!
You can even contribute to it if you want: http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projectsAs for the price, I totally understand where you are coming from.
We do have a program for nonprofit organizations (if that applies to your case): https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/do-you-offer-discounts-for-nonprofit-organizations/Other than that, we have sales from time to time (for example for Black Friday).
So if you are not in the rush, you might want to wait it out 🙂Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Lindy,
Thank you for writing back.
Yes, the way things are setup right now (especially z-index wise), you are unlikely to be able to use anything that is usually located at the very top of the page (e.g.: the list view switcher).
Either that or you might be using a shortcode instead of the default calendar view (I am not 100% sure).
If you can do a quick backup of your theme settings, you can run an easy test to prove this (perhaps with a maintenance page plugin turned on): temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen.
Oh, and is there a way to create an event list and not have an image box? or does each event have to have image?
The featured image is completely optional.
However, if you still want it for other views, you can simply hide it with some CSS rules under your Avada options..page-id-12171 .fusion-events-thumbnail {display:none !important}Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Emanuele,
I am super glad this worked for you.
You can absolutely do the same for your other site.
Of course a database backup is always a good idea (just in case).But, aside from that, it’s pretty safe.
Our plugins are built in such a way that even if you deactivate and delete them, you do not loose any information related to events.
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Steph,
I am sincerely sorry that did not work.
You are right, there is indeed a bug impacting Facebook events images not being imported.
However, this bug only impacts users that are using versions above
- 4.4.0.1 for the Events Calendar
- 4.4 for the Events Calendar Pro
Based on the system information you sent me, I assumed that was not your case.
But perhaps you updated since then?In any case, I apologize for this assumption.
The good news is that a fix is imminent and you will be notified as soon as it’s out.
In the meantime, the only known workaround is to downgrade to the versions above: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Dave,
Thank you for writing back.
I am sorry to hear my recommendations were not more successful.
Based on this, I think the best approach is to use our Themer’s guide.
What that allows you to do is to take the file that generates the list view, make a copy of it in your child theme. In fact, Avada already uses this extensively.
The file that controls that is /wp-content/themes/Avada/tribe-events/list/meta.php at line 44.
If you simply copy that file AND its path in your child theme, whatever change you make to it, will override our plugin’s normal behaviour and even Avada’s behaviour.
Let me know how that goes.

I would love to help you with this topic.Just to be on the safe side, are you looking for a way to only impact recurring events and not the others ? Furthermore, would that be solely limited to the week view ?
In the meantime, if you have not already, I would recommend reading my colleague George’s great tips on this very topic: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/custom-css-classes-or-other-ways-to-feature-events/

I would love to help you with this topic.The short answer is yes. You can totally do that.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch with the widget.

$region = tribe_get_region();3. Save.
Secondly, I am noticing that you are one version behind for the Events Calendar Pro.
The latest version should be 4.4.2.If all of that does not solve all of your issues, let me know.
Thank you for your patience as we see this through.

MemberGood evening Alan and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the error 500 message you are receiving.
I would love to help you with this topic.The first thing I would do is go through the following guide: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-internal-server-error-in-wordpress/
The most common culprit is the .htaccess file.
I believe that once that is done, you should be able to adjust your settings to your liking.
Also, if you are able to, as a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

Let me know how that goes.

I would love to help you with this topic.Actually, there are Peruvian Spanish language files for the Events Calendar.
But, to be fair, they are not far along the way.With that in mind, I just created the set for the Events Calendar Pro. You can see it here: http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects
Of course, for now it is empty, but you are welcome to contribute for everyone’s benefit.
As for your second question, there are a couple of options:
- In your version of the Events Calendar (free) language file, just make sure that all occurrences of the standalone “event” string are lower case.
- You could use the snippet at the very bottom of the following page to accomplish a similar result: http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects
Let me know if that helps.

I would love to help you with this topic.I believe you could use the following snippet in your child theme’s functions.php: https://gist.github.com/GeoffEW/b440feef873af841d023c0bf0839e93f
The way it is written currently, it replaces “free” by “” (nothing), but it should be pretty easy to use the string you want.
Let me know how that goes.

We are sorry to hear about the issues you are facing with the Swedish language files.
I would love to help you with this topic.1. Organizer is translated to Arrangör. Works just fine, except in the dropdown, where it says “Select or create a Arrangör”, and in the button below, where it says “ADD ANOTHER ORGANIZER”. How can I translate these correctly?
This string is found in the-events-calendar-sv_SE po and mo files.
What is happening is that it looks like the translation for Swedish has not been completed yet.I would recommend reading the following if you have not already:
- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/incomplete-translations/
- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/how-to-override-plugin-language-files/
- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/translating-the-events-calendar/
2. Venue is translated to Plats, and the dropdown says “Select or create a Plats”. I want this translated correctly as well, of course.
That is the exact same string as previously 🙂
3. The date and time. I get the date format correct, but the time is shown as am/pm. We Swedes can count all the way to 24 you know. How do I change that? Also “This event is from 08:00 to 17:00 on 2017-02-13.”, how do I translate that?
You can control the time parameters in 2 places:
- Directly in WordPress > Settings > General (wp-admin)
- Under Events -> Settings -> Display
By tweaking these, I believe you should be able to get the format you desire.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the layout issues you are experiencing on your site.
I would love to help you with this topic.First off, would you mind telling me which version of Divi you are using ?
I am asking because that would help me try to reproduce the issue.Secondly, from the Google Chrome Developer tools console, I am noticing what appears to be a JQuery version conflict (perhaps induced by another plugin).
I would highly recommend investigating this, as it will most likely result in some loss of functionality on your site.
As for the layout issue itself, there are a couple of things I would recommend:
- Try different settings under Events -> Settings -> Display for Events Template and see if that helps.
- Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:
#tribe-events-photo-events .tribe-events-photo-event {
float: left;
}
Let me know how that goes.

We are sorry to hear about this really unintended behaviour with the tickets on your site. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.I believe this is caused by 2 things:
- Under Events -> Settings -> Tickets you probably have the “Try to set the tickets to complete” checkbox. I would recommend removing that checkbox immediately. There was indeed an issue impacting some of our clients with that setting.
- Please update all of our plugins to the 4.4.2 version. In that version Event Tickets Plus offers some new settings under Events -> Settings -> Tickets that work great and provide you much greater over when the tickets are sent.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
