MemberGood afternoon Patricia,
Thank you for writing back.
I totally understand.
However, if it was possible to have a staging or local copy (at least to get some screenshots), that would really help us solve the issue you are experiencing.
If that is not possible, could you describe what the symptoms were ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood afternoon Lorraine,
We totally appreciate your findings!
To be on the safe side, I did run this by our Dev. Apparently, WPML uses a global on a per-request basis to define what is the current language makes it very susceptible to that… sadly so.
So in short, we will amend the message accordingly and the documentation has already been amended (thanks to you).
But, aside from that, it looks like we are stuck with that aspect of WPML 🙁
You are welcome back in our support forums any time 🙂
For now, I am going to close this thread.
Have a great week!

MemberGood evening Emanuele,
Thank you for your incredible patience and collaboration.
We are indeed working hard on this.In fact the FB image import is pending QA as we are speaking.
As for your second site, you do not have to wait.
The solution is to install exactly the following version of our plugins.- 4.4.0.1 for the Events Calendar
- 4.4 for the Events Calendar Pro
Here is a good link on how that works: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/
Installing exactly these versions will fix the image import issue.
And once the new version is out with the fix (we will contact you as soon as it is), you can then update that new site.
Cheers,

MemberGood evening Mark,
Thank you for the files.
For Shield, I would recommend reaching out to the plugin’s author.
I am guessing that what is going on is that the plugin is preventing access to what it perceives to be backend functionality from the front-end.I am pretty sure that with their expertise, they might be able to craft a snippet to add exceptions to that rule.
With that in mind, I went ahead and tried your child theme (using our latest versions).
The good news is that it worked. However, I am getting several error messages:
Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /var/www/vhosts/example.com/mysite.example.com/wp-content/themes/x-child/functions.php on line 49
Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /var/www/vhosts/example.com/mysite.example.com/wp-content/themes/x-child/functions.php on line 55
Notice: Use of undefined constant bp_is_profile – assumed ‘bp_is_profile’ in /var/www/vhosts/example.com/mysite.example.com/wp-content/themes/x-child/functions.php on line 67
Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /var/www/vhosts/example.com/mysite.example.com/wp-content/themes/x-child/functions.php on line 67
In other words, it seems that your child theme is due for an update.
The next things to try would be to remove the offending lines in functions.php.
While you are at it, try temporarily renaming the /tribe-events/ folder to /z_tribe-events/.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Joseph,
Thank you for the screenshots.
I am still unable to reproduce the issue, but I believe I might have some clue as to why it is not working properly.
I am noticing some https warnings on that page.
Would you mind checking up the Google Chrome developer tools Console to let me know what the message is.We have had issues in the past with mixed-content pages.
Could you head over to Events -> Settings -> General and look for the Duplicate Venue cleanup button (if any) ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Harold,
Thank you for the precisions and the screenshot. It really helps.
There are few ways you could achieve this:
- Using a template override is by far the best method. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
- Try changing the strings in the dutch language files for Event Tickets, Event Tickets Plus and the Events Calendar. You can read about it here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/how-to-override-plugin-language-files/
- You could try using a snippet in your theme’s functions.php. Here is an example to get you started: https://gist.github.com/GeoffEW/ff7e7fc35abb92beaa89a780189bd4a4
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Bart,
Just a simple follow-up to let you know we have been able to reproduce the glitch in question.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch.
We are actively working on a fix for this.Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date for a fix at this point.
But you will be contacted as soon as there is one.
In the meantime, you can simply click on the “x” to dismiss these annoying notices or ignore them for now.
Thank you for your patience as we see this through.

MemberGood evening Stuart and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the photo view issues you have experienced with the latest update.
I would love to help you with this topic. We did indeed update Isotope during that release, perhaps this is related.
In any case, I would like to pinpoint the issue with your collaboration if you don’t mind.Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.Best regards,
Geoff B.

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the missing settings.
I would love to help you with this topic.Based on your link and screenshot, I am pretty sure that the issue is simply that you have not upgraded to our latest version yet (4.4.2).
This feature is brand new.
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Dietmar and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the layout issues you are facing.
I would love to help you with this topic.1. i have no chance to get a picture in the list
You can do that using the Event Featured image option: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/featured-images/
To remove the sidebar from that view, you simply need to go to Events -> Settings -> Display and change the “Events template” setting.
2. How can i throw away teh Sitemap from Worpress
I am not sure if you mean sidebar or sitemap in this case.
I will assume it is the sidebar (which I answered in the previous question).
In case you actually want to remove the sitemap (which is very different), this is feasible, but outside the scope of our support.
If your main concern is privacy, you can simply use the “discourage search engine from indexing this site” option in your wp-admin dashboard.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Arni and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. You have 2 ways of removing the organizer section:
- You can create a template override where you simply delete it. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
- You can hide it using CSS
Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:
.tribe-events-meta-group-organizer {display:none !important;}Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
