ParticipantHow can we delete the word GRATIS in the Event Tickets Form. We made an upgrade to the plus version and expected that we could delete is very easy. But there’s no simple entry to delete the word GRATIS in the output of the ticket. Please help us out.

MemberGood afternoon Liane and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. The word “gratis” typically appears for one of 2 reasons:
- You are using an RSVP ticket
- You are using a WooCommerce ticket, but the set price is zero
As a starting point, you could add the following snippet in your WordPress theme’s functions.php: https://gist.github.com/GeoffEW/b440feef873af841d023c0bf0839e93f
As a second troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

Have a great day!

ParticipantThanks. This solved the problem with 1 location where the word GRATIS was mentioned!
But there is a second sentence in the ticket form were the word gratis (‘free’) is mentioned.Verzend bevestiging gratis aanmelding naar:

MemberGood evening Harold,
Thank you for your answer.
I am glad that we are making progress.Would you mind providing me with a screenshot of where that is exactly ?
Perhaps because of the Dutch version (if I am not mistaking), I am having trouble locating it.I guess a picture is truly worth a thousand words after all.
Have a good weekend,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Harold,
Thank you for the precisions and the screenshot. It really helps.
There are few ways you could achieve this:
- Using a template override is by far the best method. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
- Try changing the strings in the dutch language files for Event Tickets, Event Tickets Plus and the Events Calendar. You can read about it here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/how-to-override-plugin-language-files/
- You could try using a snippet in your theme’s functions.php. Here is an example to get you started: https://gist.github.com/GeoffEW/ff7e7fc35abb92beaa89a780189bd4a4
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
