MemberGood afternoon Jordan,
I am glad that was helpful to you.
Normally, the tooltip should appear upon hovering, even with the shortcode.
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Secondly, a quick look at the Google Chrome Developer console shows that there is a Javascript error at play.
By the sound of it, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

MemberGood afternoon Jordan,
I am super stoked that you are making good progress on this.
For your final question, I believe the following snippet will be helpful:Â https://gist.github.com/cliffordp/298b904e5f902a7b09e28c7a8bc7b592
You need to paste it in your theme’s functions.php file (without the opening php tag).
It will redirect the links to whatever you have put in the event URL field.Have a good weekend,

MemberGood evening Jordan,
I am glad this is working well for you.
Normally, if the page shortcode contained a category filter, so will the next month links.
With that in mind, I went on your site and tested it out.
It looks like clicking on the March link returns the following URL: https://www.atonementfriars.org/test/?tribe_events_cat=benefactor-appreciation-days&tribe-bar-date=2017-03In other words, it does look like the filter is working.
Can you confirm that this is the case for you too ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.
