    Good evening Doug,

    I am sorry to hear the initial issue is back.

    I am not sure what your updated customizations look like, so it’s hard to say why this is happening now.

    Is it possible that you have updated the plugin recently?
    I am asking because if that is the case, you might need to review your template overrides once more.

    With that in mind, would it be possible to get a look at your latest system information and have a copy of your theme with your latest changes included ?

    Hang in there.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Muriel,

    Thank you for taking the time to write back.

    the problem ist: it happens always, every update brings some issues, it’s not funny to work with your calender and my client is immediatly looking for another solution. As soon, as we find a possibility to transfer existing event into antoher calendar system we will do that. I never saw some paid plugins which ar making so much probs as yours…

    I deeply regret that you did not have a good experience over the last few updates while using our plugins.

    We take this type of feedback very seriously and I truly wish none of this happened to you or your client.

    We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused you.

    Please know that we do share your goal: provide our customers with the most stable calendar plugin with as little update impact as we can.

    With that in mind, when there are in fact glitches with an update, we actively work on fixes and try to provide workarounds and support as fast as possible.

    In fact, this is exactly what I tried to do in my previous answer: find the cause of the issue, help you fix it and provide you with tips to avoid such unpleasant experiences moving forward.

    The problem the width of the events adding form, was a prob with the theme yout calendar is used with. It’s a great problem, that the event calender ist not usable with a lot of themes. I solved the prob with putting in some media queries now it works.

    I totally understand why you are very disappointed with your experience with our plugins and I feel it is totally legitimate.

    Kudos on finding a fix.

    You are right, there is an important number of themes out there that might require some CSS adjustments to display nicely.

    We still try to make the calendar compatible with as many themes as possible (that follow the WordPress coding standards), but realistically, with the thousands of themes out there, it is not always possible.

    However, in my experience, with the correct settings, I have found the calendar to work with the majority of themes out there.

    And when that is not the case, we are always eager to help fix that to the best of our abilities.

    Please let me know if you need help with the language issue.

    Have a good weekend,

    Good evening Donato,

    Thank you for the additional details.

    If you want an ultra-specific rule, you could try:

    #tribe-events-list-widget-3 .tribe-events-list-widget .tribe-event-title {font-size:18px;}

    Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Good evening Frank,

    These are great questions.
    I am sorry my initial answer did not help.

    The main ways in which our plugins are customizable are:

    1. Through view/template overrides. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

      This is more than just a look and feel change, it literally lets you take any view and tweak it’s behaviour to your liking. You can dequeue functions, replace them with our own, add new parts, remove some that you do not want, etc..

    2. Through extensions or simple functions.php filters and actions.
    3. Through page templates. This basically let’s use our functions to your liking. You can even heavily borrow from the existing views if you want to.
    4. Through the use of plugins such as advanced custom post fields

    So in short, the possibilities are endless.

    That being said, although we are excited about the possibilities of customizations that are offered, our support for customizations is limited to pointing our customers in the right direction to get started.

    Finally, our list of recommended customizers (mentioned in my previous reply) could most likely help you accomplish whatever you have in mind.

    Have a good weekend,

    I think the simplest solution is a bit of CSS.

    Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

    .home .tribe-events-list h2.tribe-events-page-title {display:none !important;}

    .home .tribe-events-user-recurrence-toggle {display:none !important;}

    .home .tribe-events-photo #tribe-events-footer {display:none !important;}

    .home #main-wrapper #tribe-events .tribe-events-button {display:none !important;}

    .home .tribe-events-list .tribe-events-loop .tribe-events-content {display:none !important;}

    Have a good weekend,

    Good evening Phil,

    I am glad you managed to make some progress.

    As stated before, this is still unofficially supported. But, here is what I would recommend for maximum chances of getting this to work:

    1. Update the Events Calendar to 4.3.5 precisely (not beyond that version)
    2. Make sure you have read and applied the following 2 articles:
      1. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/
      2. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-translations-for-events-using-wpml/

    If that still does not work, it looks like this might be caused by the assigned language of the ticket when using the cleanup tool.

    If that is the case, your only option would be to tweak that value directly in the icl_languages Database table. It is actually pretty straightforward: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-tables/

    Good evening Ken,

    Thank you for your answer.

    Requirement: Actually for us, we don’t need accurate translation. Even if it’s a separate page it is fine. We just want people booking from Chinese to receive chinese emails.

    Provided you can get the unofficial workaround above to work for you, the emails will be received in the user’s language (Chinese in your case).

    This is possible because of https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/

    It looks like you already have that installed. But you might want to review it’s settings, just to be sure.

    Currently inspite of following the steps you mentioned, the chinese version tickets (both in admin and customer page) disappears. And re-appears when I change it to default (English).

    I am sorry to hear that.

    As you know, since this is an unsupported workaround that is untested when used standalone tickets, I am limited in the level of support I can provide for now.

    With that in mind, after creating the ticket, it is “normal” that it disappears.
    Normally, using the cleanup buttons should make it appear after a page refresh.

    There are 2 other things you could try:

    1. Review the following https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/

      Although this is written for the Events Calendar, it is worth making sure the setup is complete for the parts that apply.

    2. After creating the Chinese ticket AND saving the page, try hitting all of the clean up buttons in WPML > Support > Troubleshooting page.

      Make sure you clear WPML’s cache as well.

      Once that is done, refresh the page where the Chinese ticket was created.

    Unfortunately, if that does not work, it looks like you might have to wait for the full integration.
    Still on the unsupported side of things, some of our users have been able to get our plugins to work with Polylang.

    You might want to investigate that as well.

    Good evening Thomas and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the buttons no longer displaying properly on your site.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

    .woocommerce .quantity .plus, .woocommerce-page .quantity .plus {
    height: 30px;
    position: relative;
    }

    Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!
