MemberGood evening Karl,
Thank you for writing back.
Here are the recommend next troubleshooting steps:
- Remove and disconnect your license key completely as explained here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-your-license-keys/
- Try putting it back in and after you do, hit “Tab” on your keyboard, then click Save Changes.
If that does not work, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
- Making sure all optimization and caching are turned off / reverted back to default.
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood afternoon Roger and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.I believe the issue comes for the limit argument itself.
You see, although that works for our widget shortcodes: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/ , it is not part of the full calendar view shortcodes: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/Furthermore, based on your copy-paste of the code, there appears to be something off with the last quotation mark (it is different than the others). Normally that attribute would normally simply get ignored.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have unfortunately.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Nahum,
Thank you for the link,
Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.Additionally, I would highly recommend upgrading to the latest version of our plugins (after a database backup).
That would be:
- the Events Calendar 4.5.1
- the Events Calendar Pro 4.4.7
Could you also try temporarily reverting back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue disappears ?
Hang in there!

We are sorry to hear about the list view being scrambled on your site. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic. With that in mind, could you expand on what you mean by scrambled ?
The reason I am asking is because the view looks great on my end.
Without knowing more, my best guess is that either your theme or child theme contains customizations that require updating. These are usually found in the functions.php file of your theme (look for “tribe”) or in the /tribe-events/ folder.

MemberGood afternoon Jos and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.I read a lot of information how Calendar (PRO) is compatible but Tickets are not compatible with WPML
Actually, we already offer partial compatibility, but it is unsupported.
Thank you for reaching out to us.
This feature is scheduled to be release later this year. Initially we planned for spring, but there was some pushback.
In the meantime, you could get it to partially work, but this is unsupported.
To achieve that, you will need:
- WooCommerce multilingual
- Some manual intervention
After creating the ticket AND saving the event, head over to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting page.
Once you are there, you should see several cleanup buttons. I would recommend:
- Clearing WPML cache
- Using the button that forces language assignment to items (which is what is creating the issue). This can also be accomplished by deactivating and reactivating WPML.
Your ticket will now magically appear.
The only downside is that the tickets you create in other languages are not really translations of the initial ticket. They are completely independent new tickets.
We actually want the events section not to be multi-language and to be shown in all languages.
As a side note, we are working on setting that would allow to do just that. Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned!
Our plugins handle this through the Defaults.php file found under /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Integrations/WPML/
You could tweak that file or better yet, use either your functions.php file or a wpml-config.xml to achieve your goal and override that behaviour.
You can read about this here:
- https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/automatically-duplicating-added-event-calandar-items-on-publish-with-wpml/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood afternoon Naomi and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions. When the Calendar generates its own page within the site, there is no way to style it. It also automatically adds a Right Sidebar, which I don’t want to be displayed and cannot seem to find a solution to removing these
Actually, our plugins are 100% “styleable”.
It will mostly depend on your settings under Events -> Settings -> Display.
You should be able to remove the sidebar by using the proper setting for Events Template.
Do the PRO Version shortcodes provide the facility to add the calendar view to a page which we have designed, so it will remain in keeping with the rest of the site?
Absolutely.
You can read about it here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/
Also will the PRO version give us the option to tailor colours on the calendar and event views so we are not just using grey and black?
In order to gain full power on your site’s look and feel, I would highly recommend reading the following articles:

Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood afternoon Mackie,
Thank you for taking the time to rate your experience.
We are sorry to hear that your support experience has not been up to your expectations so far.You make a great point. Several of our users prefer to use email instead instead of the forums.
Although there is no current plan to offer email support, we do offer the next best thing: our forum sends emails for each thread update AND provides ability to respond by email directly.
If, for some reason, you did not receive an email as part of the process, it is possible that our reply got filtered and sent to your “Junk Mail” folder instead. Would you mind checking that ?
Aside from that, we will gladly continue to help you get to the bottom of your issue.
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
