ParticipantIn the event list, when an event is checked as featured, its image is expanded to full screen width. To correct this I inserted the following css found in a forum post.
.tribe-events-list .tribe-events-loop .tribe-event-featured .tribe-events-event-image {
float: left !important;
width: 33% !important;This corrected the image size issue, however, the event title now overlaps the image. I am using the HB-Themes Highend theme 3.3.7.2.
I would prefer that checking the featured event option not re-size the image at all, if there is a way to disable that, it would be preferred. thanks in advance.========================

MemberGood evening Ann and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the display not being as expected with featured image.
I would love to help you with this topic.As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
This will allow me to see the issue “live”.
I am using the HB-Themes Highend theme 3.3.7.2.
Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.I would prefer that checking the featured event option not re-size the image at all
I am pretty confident we can come up with a solution that works for you.
I will be able to tell you what approach is the most efficient once I can see and reproduce things on my end.Hang in there!

MemberGood evening Ann,
Thank you for your patience.
As promised, I asked for a second pair of eyes on this and I am glad I did.
Based on my understanding, what you are trying to do is to preserve a similar look between normal events and featured events.
The good news is that you can do just that with a simple view override.
You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.For our purpose, please create a /tribe-events/ folder inside your WordPress theme (preferably a child theme).
Once that is done create another folder inside that folder called /list/.
The end result should be something like /wp-content/themes/your-theme/tribe-events/list/Once that is done, drop one of the following file in that folder (after unzipping it): single-featured
Have a good weekend,
Geoff B.
