Hey Valery! I’m going to run this by some other folks on the team here to get a fresh perspective and will follow up with you after that.

In the meantime, would you be willing to disable all other non-Modern Tribe plugins and switch to a default theme on the test site? That will give us a fresh canvas to look at.

Thanks so much for your patience and help while we dig into this!

Hey Brittney, thanks for following up!

Yes, you would still need the Community Manager bundle to get those add-ons and functionality. Eventica has optimized itself to integrate with The Events Calendar and customizing some of the calendar templates to fit its needs. The additional plugins are not included in that package, I believe.

How does the event planner recieve their revenue from the tickets they’ve sold on my website? Do I have the ability to charge event planners a percentage from the revenue they make from my website?

Excellent questions! Community Tickets allows you to split the revenue from a ticket purchase with the event planner who submitted the event. The revenue travels as fast as the payment gateway you are using with WooCommerce, but here is a detailed article on how the plugin helps track sales and distribute payments.

    Cheers!

    Hey Kevin,

Great question! All our plugins are currently limited to WordPress and WordPress alone. It might be possible to use the WordPress REST API as an engine that would allow you to push content to other sources, including calendar events. For now, though, we’ve developed everything to be specific to WordPress.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Hi Mathijs,

Sorry for the trouble here with accepting submissions to Community Events!

I just tried submitting an event on my test site and everything seemed to work as expected. Here are the steps I followed:

    • Made sure anonymous submissions were enabled in the settings
    • Made sure the email notification setting for submitted events was enabled
    • Logged out of WordPress
    • Submitted a new event in the Community Events form as an anonymous user
    • Received the email notification of a pending event submission
    • Clicked the “Review event” link in the email
    • Logged into WordPress
    • Was taken to the event editor, where I was able to accept and publish the event

Is this the same process you followed as well? If so, are you getting different results? Or are there other steps you are following that I should try instead?

Let’s start there and see what we find. 🙂

    Thanks!

    Hey Bruce,

    Your timing is impeccable!

We actually have a ticket open in our system right now to audit and evaluate how well our plugins integrate with Woo’s membership modules. While it’s still in the early process, I’ve added your observations and noted this thread in the ticket so we can check into it at the same time as we do the rest of the audit.

I checked in with the team and there is no target date set for this yet, but it is indeed on our radar. Thanks so much for the tip — this is excellent feedback and really appreciated!

    Hey Paul, welcome back!

I am sorry to say that our plugins do not offer support for ticket credits or coupons. We leave the discount and cart functionality to the ecommerce plugins–in this case, WooCommerce–and stick to integrating that with the process for creating tickets as products.

Coupon codes can be tricky, but I do know that WooCommerce offers the ability to restrict coupons in such a way that they can only be used once and even set an expiration date to further prevent abuse. I realize it’s not a silver bullet so to speak, but we have seen success with Woo’s coupon capabilities when used with Event Tickets Plus.

Does this help at all? Please let me know.

    Thanks!

My pleasure, Ralph! So happy that worked.

I totally agree. It would be worth submitting a request to the theme author — I know Avada includes a lot of customization development to the calendar, so adding more options for those customizations would indeed be awesome.

Cheers and have a great day!

    Hi Jennifer,

No worries at all! We totally understand that the plugin might not be the best fit for all sites and would be happy to refund your purchase.

Will you please fill out this form? We will process that for you and, when we do, the funds will be back in your account in 5-10 business days.

Sorry the plugin did not meet your needs for this project, but we appreciate your support and for giving it a try!

    Hi Brittney,

    Good questions!

It’s definitely possible for other event planners to post events and tickets to your site with our plugins. To do that, I would first suggest downloading two of our free plugins:

    • The Events Calendar – This allows you to post events to your site in a calendar format.
    • Event Tickets – This provides RSVP functionality, which sets up the framework for our ticketing platform.

Them, I would recommend purchasing our Community Manager bundle, which includes:

    • Event Tickets Plus – This is an add-on for Event Tickets that allows you to create and sell tickets using an ecommerce plugin, like WooCommerce.
    • Community Events – This is an add-on for The Events Calendar that allow guests to your site to post events to your calendar without having to go into WordPress.
    • Community Tickets – This is an add-on that connect Community Events to Event Ticket Plus to allow your guests to create tickets as they submit events to your calendar.

The bundle also includes Filter Bar which, while not necessary for creating and selling tickets, is a nice addition to the calendar to help visitors search for events on the calendar using multiple filters.

Does this sound like it would work for you? Please let me know and I’d be happy to answer any other questions you might have about the plugins.

    Cheers!

    Hey Lain!

Here’s a better example in the article that shows the function being used directly in a template.

And, yes, we absolutely have folks we would happily recommend, should you need extra help. Check out this list and there are quite a few in there who I’m sure would love to work on this.

I went ahead and took a quick stab at it though. I haven’t thoroughly tested it, but hopefully this at least helps you get started!

    Hey Douglas,

Oh man, that’s happened to me before and I hate it when it does!

There’s nothing in the plugin itself that will do a mass cleanup of that, but I have had luck using the Bulk Delete plugin. It allows you to select a specific post type (in this case tribe_events) and add parameters for which posts to remove. Pretty darn flexible!

Will this work for you as well? Please let me know. 🙂

    Hey Sean,

Great question! Unfortunately, there is just one start and one end time for each event. You could set those times and then provide a breakdown of the event’s schedule in the event content but, otherwise, there is no additional setting for more time entries. Sorry about that!

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Hey Lain!

By overriding the tickets.php template and wrapping the ticket form in the “is_user_logged_in()” function to display it only for logged in visitors, the Event will still be visible, but Tickets won’t be available unless you are logged in?

That is correct: the event itself will be visible, but the ability to purchase tickets will only display for those who are logged into WordPress.

    /wp-content/themes/child-theme/event-tickets-plus/src/views/wootickets/tickets.php

    Just a slight difference:

    /wp-content/themes/child-theme/tribe-events/tickets/wootickets/tickets.php

    Cheers!
