    Interesting! I’m afraid shortcodes would not be respected in those fields. You can, however, add a shortcode to the events template using a template override, if you would like to include a shortcode on every event — or add the shortcode to the event post description and it will be respected there.

    Cheers!

    I’ve actually seen other instances of where The Events Calendar was used for classes and those classes input as recurring events in Events Calendar PRO.

    The deal with recurring events is that WordPress must recognize them as unique posts in order to build the relationships needed to link those events together into a single recurring series. You can modify the entire series at once by editing the parent event (or “class”), or any individual event within that series.

    I know it’s a pain to see all of the events in the back end. There could be a way to filter that (perhaps using our Advanced Post Manager plugin, which is free), but hopefully this gives you an idea of why it is the way it is.

    I see you marked this as Resolved, but I’ll keep it open in case there’s anything else you’d like to confirm before closing it. πŸ™‚

    No worries at all, Mary! I totally get that the plugin is not a great fit for all sites, so we’re happy to refund the purchase for you.

    I’ve submitted the refund and you should see the funds back in your account in 5-10 business days.

    Sorry the plugin didn’t work out for this site but I hope it will for another one down the road. πŸ™‚

    Hey Scott and welcome back!

    It looks like the slider that controls the rotating images in the sidebar is conflicting a bit with the styles of the other things in the sidebar, including the calendar widget.

    You can try adding something like this to your theme’sΒ style.css file or using the Simple Custom CSS plugin:

    .soliloquy-container .soliloquy-wrap {
    float: left !important;
    }

    You may need to add additional styling to get things to look exactly how you want, but this should at least help make sure that the widgets are not overlapping with one another.

    Cheers!

    Hey Nigel — hope you’re having a great day!

    That’s a good question. The additional fields in Events Calendar PRO do include a text field and that field does accept HTML markup. So, in other words, you could enter a link into that custom field and it would output as a clickable link on the front end.

    Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. πŸ™‚

    No worries at all, Peter!

    I just submitted the refund for you and you should see the funds back in your account in 5-10 business days. Feel free to snag Event Tickets Plus in the meantime and you should be good to go.

    Just as a tip: Event Tickets PlusΒ does require Event Tickets (free) to be installed in order to work. It provides the framework for tickets and Event Tickets Plus integrates with the ecommerce platform.

    Cheers!

    Hey Steve and welcome to the forums! Sorry for the trouble here with icons–let’s dig into it together.

    Just to confirm: are you talking about the date icon that shows up in the sidebar widget (screenshot)?

    I want to ask because that icon is specific to the widget and is actually not included in the main calendar by default. It’s possible to borrow the code from the widget template and apply it to the calendar template, but there isn’t an icon in the calendar by default.

    Let me know if that’s what you’re looking at and we can go from there. πŸ™‚

    Thanks!

    Thanks Mary! Hope I didn’t come across as condescending in adding up the costs — just trying to be helpful.

    We’ll see you in the other thread!

    Hi Lain — nice to see you again and hope all is well!

    Good question. While there is no setting for that in the plugin, you could achieve the same effect by overriding theΒ tickets.php template and wrapping the ticket form in theΒ is_user_logged_in() function to display it only for logged in visitors.

    This WordPress Codex article is a great place to start, with examples of how that works.

    The calendar template you are looking is:
    /wp-content/plugins/event-tickets-plus/src/views/wootickets/tickets.php

    I would also suggest looking at our Themer’s Guide for more details on how template overrides work, if you haven’t seen it already — super helpful!

    Does this make sense and will it work for you? Please let me know. πŸ™‚

    Hey @mweeks!

    Great question. We do have a number of bundled prices but I’m afraid there is not one specifically for Events Calendar PRO and Eventbrite Tickets. We do have the Ultimate Bundle which packs all of our plugins together, but that includes every plugin instead of just the two you are looking for.

    So, if you’re looking for Events Calendar PRO and Eventbrite Tickets only, the cost for a Personal level license for each would be $89 for a total of $178.

    Does this help answer your question? Please let me know if you have any other questions and I’d be happy to help.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

    Heck yeah, that is awesome! Seriously, thanks so much for both following up on your previous thread and sharing a solution with us here — I really do think others in the community will find this helpful as well and I have flagged this for our team to check out.

    Hi Catherine,

    You’re not missing anything at all — we actually do not have a back-end demo of Facebook Events. Instead, we offer a full refund on all products within 30 days of purchase. We have found that testing the plugins in your own site environment is the best way to get a sense of how the plugin works and whether it will work to fit your needs. If something doesn’t work out, let us know here in support and we’d be happy to take it back, should it not work for you for any reason.

    Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. πŸ™‚

    My pleasure! Thanks so much for sticking with me while we checked that out together — I honestly wasn’t aware of that either until you asked and I talked it over with others. πŸ™‚

    Thanks!
