    Hi Daniel,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

Yes, I do think it would be possible to add a bio and image for an organizer. Events Calendar PRO allows you to add images and content for both Organizers and Venues, so that information would certainly be captured. You would need to customize the event template to fetch that information. We have a Themer’s Guide and documentation that can help you get started in that direction.

However, Events Calendar PRO will automatically provide a link to the Organizer bio on the event — if you are ok with that, that would require no customization on your part. 🙂

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi David,

Oh shoot, sorry for the trouble here! Let’s dig into this and see why tickets are not showing up on your events.

The first thing I’d like to check is how the tickets were created. Will you please:

    • Send me a screenshot of a ticket you created in the event editor that is not showing up on the event
    • Send me a link to an event on your site that has a ticket that is not displaying

Also, it would be super helpful if you could go to the Events > Help screen, copy y0ur System Information, and paste it here for me as a private reply. That will allow me to check some additional settings as we troubleshoot this together.

Let’s start there and see what we find!

    Thanks,
    Geoff

Hey there and thanks for getting in touch!

You are absolutely right: our plugins are not the best fit for booking and appointments and more suited for events and ticketing. I really wish we offered a solution for you here, but I honestly do not think our plugins are the right thing for you based on your needs.

That said, there are a few great WordPress booking plugins out there. Here are a handful I was able to find with a fairly quick search:

Sorry again that we don’t have a solution for you, but does this at least help answer your question and give you something to work with? Please let me know. 🙂

    Hi Anne,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

Yes, indeed, on both counts. Events Calendar PRO does allow you to create events that span multiple days, such as a class that starts on Friday at 8am and ends Sunday at 5pm. It also allows you to create recurring events, which is an event that repeats daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or by a custom pattern.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi Sophie,

Good morning and thanks for getting in touch!

I think our plugins will have you well covered based on those needs. Here’s what I’d recommend:

    • The Events Calendar – This is our free core plugin that all of our add-ons require. It allows you to publish, edit and manage events in WordPress on a calendar format. By default, it already includes the location search, list, Google Maps integration and event URL requirements you mentioned.
    • Event Tickets – This, too, is a free plugin that allows you to create free tickets (RSVPs) for events published to The Events Calendar. It’s also required for the next add-on.
    • Event Tickets Plus – This add-on allows you to create paid tickets for events and integrate with WooCommerce to accept payments for those purchases. It uses the WooCommerce shopping cart, so you should be able to tailor the WooCommerce cart like you would with any other implementation of it to add additional product options. Event Tickets Plus also provides custom fields for tickets, which allows you to collect additional information from attendees. The tickets themselves are templates that can be customized by overriding the template in your theme files and we have a guide on how overrides work.

The one requirement you mentioned that these do not cover is reminders. I wish I had a solid solution for you but I’m afraid our products will not meet that need.

You mentioned trying to decide between Events Calendar PRO and Community Events, however, I do not think you necessarily need either of them based solely on the requirements you mentioned. That said, you may still be interested in Events Calendar PRO if you need recurring events, additional calendar views, custom fields for events, shortcodes. You may a,so be interested in Community Events if you would like your admins (or even other site visitors) to submit events to your calendar using a submission form on the front-end of your site.

Does this help make your decision any easier? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi Armando,

Well, shoot, sorry about that! I tried a couple of other ideas with no luck. Definitely let me know if you come up with something because I’d be interested in seeing that work.

In the meantime, it’s worth noting that we are planning to have an annual view. While I don’t have the exact timeframe for when it will be released, you can add your vote to the feature request and subscribe to receive a notification when we make progress on it.

    Cheers,

    Hi Keith,

So sorry for the trouble with importing events from Google Calendar!

Do you happen to have access to the iCal address for the calendar? The one you provided is for an embed of the calendar, but Event Aggregator needs the iCal URL to fetch the events.

Here are details for how to locate the iCal address in Google Calendar:
    https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37083#link

Once you have that address, let’s see if we can import that together.

    Thanks!

    Hello Gurdeep,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

    1. Can your plugin be connected to DIBS

I’m afraid that our plugins are not specifically designed to integrate with DIBS. Our Event Tickets Plus add-on does integrate with WooCommerce, but only to allow payments to be accepted for ticket purchases on events.

To be fully honest, I have never tried or used DIBS before, so I am not fully sure how it would integrate with our plugins. That said, we do offer a full refund on all our products within 30 days of purchase and that would give you a good amount of time to try our plugins out for yourself and see whether they integrate with DIBS in the way you would hope or expect. And, if they don’t you can return them within that 30 day window with no issues.

    2. Can i have multiple clients. I want to be service provider for two clients on my web site. That they can register their events on my site for selling tickets for their event. Without interfering with each other and the payment system.

Yes, that is possible with our plugins. You will need the following plugins to make that happen:

    • The Events Calendar – This is our core plugin that is required for all of our other calendaring add-ons. It allows you to publish, edit and manage events on WordPress in a calendar format.
    • Community Events – This is an add-on for The Events Calendar that allows visitors to submit events to the calendar through a front-end submission form. You can moderate those submissions and restrict access to them based on the visitor’s WordPress user role.
    • Event Tickets – This is our free plugin that enables you to create free tickets (RSVPs) for events and is required for our other ticketing add-ons.
    • Event Tickets Plus – This is an add-on for Event Tickets that allows you to create paid tickets for events and sell them using WooCommerce.
    • Community Tickets – This add-on connects Community Events to Event Tickets Plus so that your visitors can create and sell tickets for the events they submit to your calendar. It allows them to collect payment for the tickets they sell or for you to split the sales with them.

Does this help answer your questions? Please let me know. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi @tom,

Oh gosh, so sorry for the trouble! I was able to find a ticket in our system where two other folks have reported the same issue, so this is indeed a known and legit bug.

While I do not have an exact timeframe for when it will be resolved, I have made a note in the ticket and will mark this thread as Pending Fix so that we can follow up with you when a fix is ready to ship.

In the meantime, one option you might consider is downgrading to a past version of our plugins as a temporary way to resolve the bug until we can provide an actual fix. You can find information on how to downgrade our plugins on our Knowledgebase here.

Sorry again for the trouble, though I do appreciate your patience while we dig into this!

    Thanks,
    Geoff

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for getting in touch! That sounds like an awesome project and I’m stoked you’re considering using our plugins as part of it. 🙂

I think you can accomplish all of that with only two of our plugins:

    • The Events Calendar (free) – This is our free core plugin for creating, editing and managing events in a calendar format. It’s also required for all of our other add-ons, but it will allow you to create events and assign them to a location/province.
    • Community Events – This is an add-on for The Events Calendar that allows visitors to submit events to the calendar using a front-end submission form. You can absolutely moderate those submissions and even limit access to the form based on the WordPress user role.

Those two plugins will give you the core of what you need. For example, you can categorize the events that are published based on province, then provide direct links to the event categories, which will provide filtered views of the calendar. The Events Calendar also includes a Location search by default, so you are covered there.

If you wanted to take this a step further, then you could add Filter Bar. True to its name, it adds a set of filters to the calendar that allows visitors to filter events based on everything from categories to venues, and distance is another filter that can be used to refine the list of events.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂

    Hi @Menno,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

I’m afraid that Event Aggregator does not have any layout options included in it because it is designed specifically to import events from other sources, like Facebook, Google Calendar and other calendar feeds.

If you’re looking for advanced layouts, Events Calendar PRO does indeed include a Map View, Photo View and Week View that are not included in the default version of The Events Calendar. You would need to purchase Events Calendar PRO in order to receive access to those layouts.

The other option you have is to create your own custom layout, which does not require any purchase. We have a themer’s guide that provides a full overview of how to override any of the templates included in The Events Calendar with your own and that can help get you started.

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

    Hi Sean,

Sorry for the confusion here! You will actually need three additional plugins to enable tickets in the Community Events submission form:

    • Event Tickets – This is our free plugin that allows you to create free tickets (RSVPs) for events and is required for our other ticketing add-ons.
    • Event Tickets Plus – This is an add-on for Event Tickets that allows you to create paid tickets for events and sell them with WooCommerce.
    • Community Tickets – This is another add-on for Event Tickets that connects Events Tickets to Community Events, allowing tickets to be created on the event submission form.

I’m sorry if that was not clear up front, but I hope this helps clarify why you were unable to see a ticketing option in the form.

    Thanks,
    Geoff
