I’ve discovered an interesting quirk when using Events Calendar PRO/Event Tickets Plus with WooCommerce Memberships. If you setup a membership plan that grants a 100% discount for event tickets (i.e., makes the tickets free) when you edit an existing ticket from an account that has that membership plan, the ticket price is changed to “0”! Thus, if you aren’t observant you inadvertently change the ticket price while editing another aspect of the ticket. Presumably, the same thing occurs for other discount percentages/amounts but I have not verified.

Has anyone else observed this? Devs: if you can verify, I presume this can be fixed as in the front-end both the actual ticket price and discounted ticket price are displayed. I haven’t delved into the WooCommerce Memberships function docs but I presume there are separate function calls for the original price and the discounted price.

Note that the URL for which this has been observed is tribe.reveresriders.org. However, that is a development URL and the site will soon be transferred to reveresriders.org.

    Thanks!

    Hey Bruce,

    Your timing is impeccable!

We actually have a ticket open in our system right now to audit and evaluate how well our plugins integrate with Woo’s membership modules. While it’s still in the early process, I’ve added your observations and noted this thread in the ticket so we can check into it at the same time as we do the rest of the audit.

I checked in with the team and there is no target date set for this yet, but it is indeed on our radar. Thanks so much for the tip — this is excellent feedback and really appreciated!

    Hi there,

I just wanted to pop in here and give you an update. While we weren’t able to get this feature into our upcoming 4.2 release, it is still on our list of ideas to implement in future releases.

We appreciate your patience, and we will be sure to update this thread when we have more news. Thank you for your continued support, and keep an eye out for version 4.2 coming in the next few weeks!

    Best,

    Hey Bruce,

Just a heads up to let you know that we were able to look into this further and have some ideas in mind for how to develop this into a feature down the road. While a timeline still needs to be worked out, I at least wanted to let you know we’re continuing to think of ways to better integrate our plugins with membership features from other plugins, so please continue to keep an eye open on our future feature releases for more.

    Cheers,
    Geoff
