ParticipantHello,
This might be a bit of a long shot but here goes 🙂
Is it possible to allocate tokens, credits, free tickets or whatever you want to call them, to specified customers?
For example, is it possible to give a ‘token’ to a customer which then enables them to purchase one ticket to an event for free?
Or, maybe a credit? For example £50 off the next event purchased?
I know coupon codes can be used with WooCommerce but this is open to abuse, simply by sharing the coupon code.
Any help much appreciated.
Kind regards.
Paul.

MemberHey Paul, welcome back!
I am sorry to say that our plugins do not offer support for ticket credits or coupons. We leave the discount and cart functionality to the ecommerce plugins–in this case, WooCommerce–and stick to integrating that with the process for creating tickets as products.
Coupon codes can be tricky, but I do know that WooCommerce offers the ability to restrict coupons in such a way that they can only be used once and even set an expiration date to further prevent abuse. I realize it’s not a silver bullet so to speak, but we have seen success with Woo’s coupon capabilities when used with Event Tickets Plus.
Does this help at all? Please let me know.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Geoff,
Thanks for your reply.
In my original post I mentioned that coupon codes are “open to abuse, simply by sharing the coupon code.”
On pondering over your message I went back to WooCommerce and spotted the ‘Usage Restriction >> Email restrictions’ field which I had previously missed.
I see that customer email address(s) can be put into this field which allows only those people to use the coupon, thus removing any possibility of the coupon being abused by people sharing it.
Thanks to your message (and me opening my eyes), I think our dilemma is now sorted 🙂
Kind regards,
Paul.
