Thanks for your gratitude. If you’d like to publicly share some nice words, we’d love a 5-star review on WordPress.org and/or a sweet Tweet!

Hi Susan. This bug is not yet fixed in our releases. It is recommended to remove the code snippet only after the fix is released, but you can choose how to run your own site. 🙂

Hi. That bug should be fixed soon. Sorry the bot closing that thread was confusing.

I’ll mark this ticket as Pending Fix, which means this thread (and that other one) should both receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released (even if the thread gets Closed by the bot). I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now. I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.

    Hi Ronald.

The Event Title and Description fields should already be required, but please refer to our Required fields for events submission form article to help with the Event Image, and let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

    Hi Peter.

If you’re wanting an image to be required to submit the Community Events form, please refer to our Required fields for events submission form article.

If you’re saying users submit an image via CE form but it doesn’t make it to the Featured Image metabox at the wp-admin Event edit screen, that would be a bug that I could not reproduce on my local testing site. If this is your issue, please refer to our troubleshooting steps:

Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?

Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.

If it doesn’t, please share your System Information. That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.

Let us know what you find out.

    Thanks.

Hi Jacob. Thanks for your question.

I believe I understand what you’re asking for, but we’re limited in helping with customizations, per our Scope of Support / Terms. However, I can try to help point you in the right direction.

Could you please provide a link to your site where you’re wanting this customization?

    Hi Michael.

It sounds like you’re trying to edit the Tickets via WooCommerce’s editor.

The only place to edit tickets created by Event Tickets Plus is within the wp-admin Event edit screen (where you initially created the ticket).

WooCommerce features like grouping, recommended upselling, etc. are not supported by ET+.

The only WooCommerce plugins that would take effect are things that happen once someone clicks to checkout, for which we do not provide support.

To be clear, there is no built-in or WooCommerce-native “ticket grouping” functionality at this time from Event Tickets Plus.

You could add your feature request at our plugins’ UserVoice page.

This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.

Once you vote for it, feel free to link to it from here in case anyone comes across this forum thread in the future.

Hi Craig. Thanks for your detailed question.

Our shortcodes are basically just wrappers for running one of our widget’s code, so they are the same code base. This means that if you want to change the shortcode’s output, you would actually need to edit the widget’s PHP file(s), which it seems like you understand.

However, I’m uncertain what you’re referring to when you say you don’t find a default.php file. What made you think to look for a file by that name?

Here are some demos of our widgets. I’m not sure what you mean when you say you want something horizontal instead of vertical. Please explain exactly what you’re wanting by sharing your code customizations, annotated screenshots, and anything else you think will help.

    Thank you.

Hi Kia. Thanks for your detailed question.

The Related Events displayed at the bottom of the Single Event view should NOT be suggesting itself as a related event.

However, if you have an event by the same name but on a different date (like in a series of recurring events), it may be referring to another instance in that series of related events.

To be clear, the code for Related Events excludes recommending itself as an event related to itself.

If you are experiencing that, another plugin may be conflicting with the query logic or something like that (e.g. I see you have Event Rocket activated), in which case, this is our general troubleshooting advice:

Please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.

Let us know what you find out.

    Thanks.

    Hi Tracy.

You should definitely be setting a Featured Image for each event. It’s done via wp-admin’s Event/Post edit screen, just like adding a Featured Image to a regular blog post via wp-admin.

It might also help to use the Facebook URL Debugger/Crawler tool to check out the results once you add an image.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Hi Thomas. Thanks for your feedback and for voting for that existing feature request.

You may be interested in voting for this other existing feature request. For now, you can reference our plugin’s existing widgets and shortcodes, possibly with our Event Categories and/or Tags feature.

You’d need to create the pages manually, which would be ok if there are just a few cities or regions to manage.

If everything is dynamic though (a lot of different cities/regions), it might be best to forgo the idea about /events/city-name and just do some custom coding for detecting a visitor’s location and redirecting them to search via their zip code or something like that.

If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our list of known customizers.

    Hi Ross.

Event Tickets Plus does not support migrating from any other tickets plugins other than its predecessor, WooTickets.

I’m uncertain if you’re asking about migrating from WooTickets because I don’t see that previously purchased in your user account.

If you are trying to migrate from WooTickets to Event Tickets Plus, please deactivate WooTickets plugin, install and activate Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus, and all this site’s existing tickets will carry over.

However, our plugins do not support transferring tickets from other sites into another site.

Please let me know if you have any unanswered questions remaining.

    Hi Paul.

Event Tickets Plus is our paid add-on plugin that upgrades the functionality of our free Event Tickets plugin.

Event Tickets Plus enables you to sell tickets via one of our supported eCommerce platforms. The free plugin only enables free RSVP-type tickets.

You can view our roundup/comparison of all the eCommerce plugins ET+ supports.

Our plugin uses your eCommerce plugin of choice, but your eCommerce plugin isn’t displayed for shopping pages. Please reference our Making Tickets KB article (screenshots are from an install using WooCommerce) for an idea how to create tickets for an event.

Site visitors would purchase tickets from each event’s single page/view (e.g. example.com/events/rogers-day-at-the-zoo/) — if there is an RSVP to submit or ticket to purchase.

The order confirmation email will include a QR code that can be scanned to “check in” someone at the door at the time of the event. You can read more at Tickets: Managing your orders and attendees.

Regarding membership-based pricing, your eCommerce shopping cart will display the correct price once they get that far in the purchasing process, but our plugin may only display the non-member / non-signed-in-user pricing at the time they add it to their cart.

For adding an additional item/product to the cart (like buying a membership), you might be able to do that via a code customization, but not natively as part of our plugins (because, again, they don’t themselves have any membership features built-in).

    I hope this info helps.

Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
