October 8, 2016 at 5:21 am in reply to: Outlook does not take daylight saving information from ICAL Export file #1174043
Cliff
MemberI understand you’re suggesting we include an explicit statement of DST/Standard times in our own iCal export to help Outlook and all others better know how to properly handle the times.
Out of curiosity, do you know why Outlook requires a different timezone format or where its standards/requirements are documented?
FYI: the test.ics file you attached does not validate, per http://severinghaus.org/projects/icv/. It’s always best to be working with a file that validates.

MemberAriela, I am sincerely sorry this bug is causing such trouble. I have passed along your reply to our management to express the importance of this fix.
We don’t provide ETAs, but I can say that it’s scheduled for an upcoming bug fix (i.e. it’s not in no-man’s land awaiting a “someday” fix).
I’ll leave this thread open for the eventual reply to notify you once this bug fix is released.

Member1)
You’d need to have 3 separate tickets or some customization to hide the 3 separate tickets until some custom “selector” was chosen, then unhide the 1 of 3 that’s appropriate.
3)
The price would be 55 but you could add a ticket description to specify it’s 50 + 5
4)
No, we don’t give ETAs. All I can say is that it doesn’t seem to be actively worked on (which matches the “Planned” status on UserVoice) but our internal notes state that someone’s using this plugin (apparently in conjunction with ours to accomplish this?)

Event Tickets core/free plugin is required to run Event Tickets Plus add-on. So if you go with ET+, you’ll have both ET and ET+ active on your site.

MemberYou bet.
Again, we’ll leave this thread open awaiting a future “bug fixed” update (hopefully).
Cliff
MemberWe’ve seen big name calendars not validate from time-to-time.
Here are a couple ideas:
- try your .ics file in another validator, like http://icalendar.org/validator.html
- create a fresh/new/different/simple calendar feed and see if that has the same results
I hope this moves your situation forward. I’m looking forward to hearing back.

MemberThanks for the screenshot, Mike. I double-checked with one of our developers. Unfortunately, we don’t have any simple way to do what you’re asking.
You could request this as a new feature (or maybe search to see if the idea was already posted by someone else) at our plugins’ UserVoice page.
This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.
If you post it / find it, feel free to link to it from here in case anyone comes across this forum thread in the future.

For the plugin I shared: if it’s not working for you, you can probably just disregard. I don’t think it can help with this issue.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

MemberDoes your Rowan Theme have a “tribe-events” folder in it? If yes, I’d suggest renaming it temporarily to make sure it’s not affecting things.
However, I did notice that link doesn’t have any content at all when looking at the page’s source code. This is a major issue.
I’d suggest following our recommended troubleshooting steps:
Please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions:
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to TwentySixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any PHP errors you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts mode).
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

MemberIf all you’re missing is a sidebar, maybe this Events widget areas plugin will bridge the gap for you.
Please do let me know once you have an update.
Cliff
MemberAh!
Your active theme — Rowan Theme — has a PHP snippet in its functions.php file.
You need to search that file for TribeWooTickets and comment out that bit of PHP code.

MemberWell I’ll take all the credit for fixing them, then. 😉
Have a great rest of your week.
