April 27, 2017 at 8:32 pm in reply to: Is that your Event Tickets Plus plugin is compatible with the SportPress plugin? #1275570
Cliff
MemberHi, Stephane. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.
I haven’t heard of SportsPress before (and therefore haven’t heard if it conflicts with our plugin).
I’d recommend installing our free/core Event Tickets plugin and it has a post type selector in its settings; see if the free RSVP type tickets work with the SportsPress custom post type(s).
If it does, then you can buy Event Tickets Plus and sell tickets via WooCommerce.
If it doesn’t work, please report that to us so we can have a better understanding of any conflicts with Event Tickets.
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

MemberHi, Cyrille.
That would be a nice feature, but we don’t have that built-in.
We actually don’t have any “event promotion” sort of notification/email functionality at this time, much less that is location-specific.
You could request this as a new feature (or maybe search to see if the idea was already posted by someone else) at our plugins’ UserVoice page.
This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.
If you post it / find it, feel free to link to it from here in case anyone comes across this forum thread in the future.
As far as ideas toward implementing something custom, you’d need to add custom fields to the WordPress User Profile to record each user’s “home” location.
Then you’d likely want to setup a WordPress cronjob to run Events Calendar PRO‘s distance calculation / query and maybe send them a notification like “X number of events happening this week within Y distance from you”.
I hope this information helps. Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

MemberHi, Joey.
Thanks for your detailed question.
No, we don’t have such functionality built-in, but you might be able to have some hidden products in your WooCommerce shop that you link them to in the ticket confirmation email… and issue them a coupon code that only works for these hidden products.
That’s just a thought. Let me know what you think about this or any other ideas you might have.

MemberHi, William.
Sorry for that inconvenience.
You can visit https://github.com/moderntribe/the-events-calendar/search?q=VenueVenue&type=Commits for some history.
Unfortunately, I don’t see it getting a specific mention in our changelog, but we do try hard to be comprehensive. Hopefully we’ll do better in the future for you and others.
You may also be generally interested in our Release Notes blog posts.
Thanks for the heads up.

MemberHi, Rob.
It sounds like you’re wanting the actual Event + Organizer + Venue posts, not the Event Settings, right?
If so, you can use WordPress’ own import/export functionality at wp-admin > Tools > Import or Export.
Please let me know how this goes for you.
April 27, 2017 at 8:09 pm in reply to: Nightmare plugin – Customize theme link redirecting to an error page #1275555Cliff
MemberHi, Ramón. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
There aren’t currently any known issues with PRO and the WordPress Appearance or Customizer screens, so I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode). That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

MemberHi, Jan. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.
Our plugin creates one master calendar, but you can create the appearance of multiple calendars by using Event Categories.
Examples:
- main/master calendar where all the site’s events appear: http://wpshindig.com/events/
- WP Meetups category calendar: http://wpshindig.com/events/category/wp-meetups/
- Learning category calendar: http://wpshindig.com/events/category/learning/
There are additional methods and documentation at our Can You Have Multiple Calendars? KB article.
So, no, there aren’t membership-type restrictions available, but a membership plugin might enable such functionality. (We don’t have any membership plugin recommendations.)
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

MemberHi, Jason. Thanks for linking there.
I’d suggest replacing tribe_events_the_notices with tribe_the_notices in that snippet and see if that works.
Please let me know how this goes for you.
Cliff
MemberHi, Neil. Thanks for your question.
Although not exactly what you requested, you could possibly use our Filter Bar add-on with the Events List View.
You can see how it would work at our demo site’s List View: http://wpshindig.com/events/list/
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
April 27, 2017 at 7:57 pm in reply to: Events import worked fine in EC Core, but not in EC Pro #1275547Cliff
MemberHi, Scott. Thanks for the detailed question. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
I’m not sure how the CSV import process might be different if you have PRO active, but I do see that you’re on PHP 5.3, which does not meet WordPress’ requirements.
We require the same system requirements as WordPress does.
Please upgrade your version of PHP and try again.
If it doesn’t work, please disable all non-Modern Tribe plugins and test again while PRO is active.
Another idea is to enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Please let me know how this goes for you.

MemberHi, again, Cyrille.
Our free and paid plugins are coded according to GPLv2.
I’d suggest also referencing our Scope of Support and Terms.

MemberHi, Cyrille.
Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.
We do not have this functionality built-in. However, you could likely use WordPress’ own gallery shortcode and manually insert it at the top of the Event Description (i.e. body of the Event post). Another idea is Jetpack’s carousel or other shortcode in the same manner.
I believe you’re requesting the same thing as one of our existing feature requests: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/8537527-user-photo-gallery-associated-with-each-event
Please do add your vote there.
This allows us to gauge interest in this particular feature request, which helps us prioritize our development efforts.
Thank you.
Cliff
MemberSorry. I was asking for both the Eventbrite link(s) and WordPress link(s). Also, please make sure it’s not an event in the past, just so I can make sure that doesn’t get in the way of testing how it works for me.
Please send the links and I’ll test on my end.
Cliff
