    Hi, Shane.

The Events Calendar widget doesn’t have a filter for Featured Events: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-the-calendar-widget/

Would you be able to share an annotated screenshot, screen capture video, and/or relevant URLs to clarify exactly what’s happening here?

    Sorry you’re experiencing this.

Please remove the license key from old site > wp-admin > Events > Settings > Licenses tab

Then visit https://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys/ and remove old site from being assigned that license.

Then enter that license key at new site > wp-admin > Events > Settings > Licenses tab

Please let me know how this works for you.

    Thanks!

Hi, James. Sorry you’re experiencing this.

I’d guess there’s a Javascript error. Please check for any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)

I’d also suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:

There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?

Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.

Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups before modifying anything on your site.

If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).

Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode) in a Private Reply. That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.

Let us know what you find out.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the debug report.

You should make sure you’re using the latest version of your theme. If you are, you should report all these to your theme author.

There’s nothing we can assist with here because all the errors are from your theme (or its inclusion of https://github.com/CMB2/CMB2, possibly an outdated version of it).

Please let me know what you find out.

After inputting the license key, do you then click the “Save” button?

If it’s input correctly, a fresh reload of the page should have the license key already input there.

    You’re welcome.

If there’s a code snippet you’d like me to put some eyes on or something else I can help you with, please update this ticket or create a new ticket if it’s a separate issue.

Thank you very much for your understanding.

FYI: If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.

Hi. Thanks for your detailed question.

    I tested and neither [tribe_events_list] nor [tribe_events view="list"] output the JSON-LD/schema markup.

However, the Events List widget does have a checkbox to do so.

Since you’re using a page builder, I’d think it should be easy to output that widget (instead of its shortcode version) wherever you need it on your homepage.

Please let me know how this goes for you.

    Hi, Tony.

Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.

Currently, a recurrence series is a single post. Each occurrence within the series is another post but its post_parent in the database is set to that of the series.

For example, if you have an event that repeats monthly, you’ll have 24 posts in your database, 23 of which have the first as their post_parent. You’ll have 24 unless you change the default of creating events 24 months in the future.

If you use the Break from Series option for an occurrence within a series, that post will just have its post_parent removed.

For additional information, please reference https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/

Regarding scaling, we do have some room for improvement in this area, but we continually improve over time. That being said, we do know of customers with tens of thousands of events, but they’re likely not on a $5/month web hosting plan either.

Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.

I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

Hi, Karly. Sorry you’re experiencing this.

We just released some updates. I’m not sure if this issue might be fixed by them, but let’s cross our fingers and hope so! 🙂

Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?

Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups before modifying anything on your site.

Please also share your System Information (after doing the updates) in a Private Reply. That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.

Let us know what you find out.

    Thanks.
