ParticipantHello:
Happy Events Calendar Pro user, with a conundrum.
I am not able to make Events Tickets Plus work well for me because I’m selling a fairly complicated workshop/lodging offering along with building an online store, so am using Gravity Forms & Woo Commerce.
Can you help me figure out how to put a button into my Events Pro sidebar where I can use a URL to the product page with a “Register Now” button? I’d like it up at or near the top and looking spiffy. I want it above the fold.
I’ve tried adding an additional field, using the URL option. It comes up at the bottom of all of the other sidebar items, under “Other.” I’ve not tried HTML there, so don’t know if I can get anything cleaner than an visible URL.
I’ve also tried adding a widget and sidebar in my WP theme, but it’s showing up underneath all of the other Events Pro Sidebar, and if I do it this way, I need to create a Sidebar for every event, which isn’t terribly elegant. Also, too, a pain.
Hoping you have a brilliant suggestion that doesn’t require massive coding!

MemberHi, Leigh.
You could use the Event Website field: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/url-as-word-button/
Event Tickets Plus has a Buy Now button (https://theeventscalendar.com/introducing-buy-now-buttons/), which seems to be the positioning you’re looking for at each event within the List Views.
While the coding isn’t “massive”, there would be a bit of it to get exactly what you’re wanting.

ParticipantHi, Cliff:
Thanks for this. I’ll hold my breath and dive in the deep end and try a bit of scary coding! 🙂
Looks like it will do what I’m trying to make it do.
Would love to put a vote in for an easier way to do this to your design crew in updated versions of The Events Calendar… As I mentioned above, Events Tickets Plus (while a cool tool) doesn’t work for our uses, so it would really be great to be native in the Calendar.
But in the meanwhile, I appreciate your help!
All the best,
Leigh

MemberYou’re welcome.
If there’s a code snippet you’d like me to put some eyes on or something else I can help you with, please update this ticket or create a new ticket if it’s a separate issue.
Thank you very much for your understanding.
FYI: If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.
