Events Widget is showing non-featured events

Hi…

I have selected the checkbox in The calendar widget to only display featured events. Events from my chosen categories are being shown in the widget. Why have the checkbox if it won’t work? How do I stop this from happening? Thanks.

The Events Calendar widget doesn’t have a filter for Featured Events: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-the-calendar-widget/

Would you be able to share an annotated screenshot, screen capture video, and/or relevant URLs to clarify exactly what’s happening here?

Thanks for the screenshot. That’s our Events List widget, not our Events Calendar widget.

For your future reference, here are all of our plugin’s widgets and shortcodes.

To your question, we just released an update for PRO that may affect this. I couldn’t replicate this issue on our latest versions, even with trying various Event Categories. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins are at their latest versions?

• License Keys
• TEC Automatic Updates
• or TEC Manual Updates

Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

If it is, I’d recommend disabling the plugin(s) that add the extra “to use as shortcode with id” and “display/hide widget” options and see if you make any progress with that.
