    Hi,

Thanks for the interest in our plugins, I have answered your questions below:

    1. Are events stored as posts?

They are stored as a custom post type, tribe_events

    2. I have requirements to default the filtering by
    a. dynamically default the map view based on user’s (nearby) location
    b. preset some default values including distance and location e.g. city or certain districts & 20km
    c. a date range or specific date (e.g. a long weekend or holiday)
    d. coming weekend

We do not have filtering in any of our products to accomplish the above.

Do you provide APIs or shortcode to do filtering for the above? Any documents on that?

We do not have an API and only have shortcodes to display the Mini Calendar Widget, in the next release we will have shortcodes for all the Pro Widgets.

    3. Can small images be inserted to month view on the calendar to replace links of each events?

Yes but by customization only, we have a tutorial to help, https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/adding-featured-images-to-month-view/

    4. Does it provide submit event form and approval process as well?

That is a feature of Community Events Only, https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-community-events/

    5. Can date range filtering be shown as slider (especially for mobile user) instead of having to type in a specific date range

We do not have a date range, the date filter searches from the date chosen and does not have a end date.

    6. Does event calendar pro include filtering or is it a separate add-on?

All Add Ons are Separate and only require the free version of the Events Calendar

    7. What is the refund policy if in case we find that the plugin does not fit our need?

30 Day Refund, more information here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/

You can see a demo with the Filter Bar and Pro plus other features here:

    http://wpshindig.com/events/

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for the interest in our plugins.

Each plugin is separate from the others and none of the features are bundled together.

If you would like Community Events and the Filter Bar you would purchase both of those they are not included in Pro.

All our plugins only require the free version of the Events Calendar on WordPress.org

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

    Hello Again,

Yes it is correct the Facebook Plugin does not sync events from Facebook it does a one time import.

If you would like you can request this as a feature on our User Voice Page:

    http://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas

We are working to update our version of the Facebook API to the latest version and it maybe possible to detect a change in an event once that happens. The current version of the API lacks a reliable method to determine if an event has changed in Facebook.

We will update the API in the plugin before April 30th as the version of the API we are using is retired after that.

I do not have a timeline for any new features.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Sorry for the issues you are having. I can help troubleshoot them with you.

First can you please verify that both The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar Pro are active and both are version 3.9.1

We have this guide for recurring events:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/

That can help you get started and it is best to create a new event for all recurring events and not turn a already published event into a recurring event.

Let me know if you are not see the recurring section.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for the interest in our plugin.

    I can answer your questions.

We have a setting in the backend where you can make the List View the Default View.

You can see that in Free Version:

    The Events Calendar

We do not have a Event Manager importer, but you could try exporting the events as a csv and then importing them that way. This will work for single events, but not for recurring events.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

The license key is not needed for the plugin to work. It is only for the automatic updates.

It sounds like there is a conflict.

Please follow our testing for conflicts guide to see if you can narrow down what the issue is:

    Hi,

When I import and need to preserve paragraphs I have added p tags to each one and that has worked for me.

You maybe to add other html tags to create line breaks and that should do it.

I did a test just now to make sure it still works and events imported with p tags in the content showed correctly for the spacing I wanted.

    Does that work for you?

All I can saw is it is in testing and we hope it in a couple months. We cannot release any more information then that until 3.10 is ready to be released as we do not want to have someone rely on a release date and then we miss it.

    Hi,

Thanks for using Pro. I can help you out here.

I have a snippet to exclude categories from the month view:

    https://gist.github.com/jesseeproductions/4b215d2b854a6f6cb649

You can use that as a base and then add more conditionals to target all the views you are using:

    https://gist.github.com/jo-snips/2415009

    Does that help?

    Hi,

Thanks for using our plugins and I can help you troubleshoot this.

Please go to a single event that you have created a ticket and verify that the information is in there and that Start and End Sale Date is valid so that the tickets will show today.

The Ticket area only shows on single events when there is a ticket that can be purchased or for a ticket that is still on sale, but sold out.

Let me know about this and we can go from here.

    Thanks

So I looked into this some more.

And the problem is Genesis thinks the Event Views such as Month, List, Map, etc.. are home pages so it causes the breadcrumbs to not work.

So it looks like the breadcrumbs have to be modified to work correctly, which is more support then I can provide on the forum.

We have this old guide that lays the ground work for new breadcrumbs, but not sure how well it will work for the latest version of Genesis or our plugin.

    http://tri.be/tutorial-integrating-the-events-calendar-w-genesis/

I found this snippet that removes the breadcrumbs from Event Pages so at least the broken breadcrumbs do not show:

    http://www.snip2code.com/Snippet/209362/Remove-Genesis-Breadcrumbs-from-the-Even

    Thanks
