MemberHi Lyne, I’m not quite sure I understand how this would work but I can say that, unfortunately, it is not the sort of request we can offer official support for.
If this is simply a convenience feature so that you/an admin can quickly review when posts were submitted I would guess that a simpler solution (that moudling The Events Calendar to fulfil this role) could be created to meet this goal specifically.

MemberYes, that looks very much like the same behaviour as you find with a stock installation of WordPress – the user has already been told that they are looking at events (posts) for a particular date and so the date isn’t printed out a second time, unnecessarily.
Not everyone likes that and it can be changed. I’ll just throw a snippet together if I can – in the meantime please ensure you have read up on our template overrides tutorial.

MemberPeople do report problems but for the vast majority its pretty seemless; but if for some reason you persistently experience difficulties here is the sort of strategy I would suggest:
- Take a complete backup! You should also make yourself aware of how to restore that backup in case disaster really does strike
- Put your site into “maintenance mode” – there are a number of ways you could do this and there are some plugins available for free that handle this nicely
- Deactivate all of your Modern Tribe plugins
- Update them all in any sequence you like
- Reactivate and check for any problems – then remove “maintenance mode” as soon as you are ready
When I mouseover an event on the month calendar there is no popup with info. What you had me change last time was to remove the overflow:hidden styling in events.css (placed in an events folder in my theme) and also in my themeβs style.css.
I visited your site and it looks like this is resolved now – but let me know if you need further help or if you have any more questions π

MemberWell, itβs the default templates(ecp-page-template.php & ecp-single-template.php)βs call get_header()
We did actually have an exchange with another user on this and they forwarded some information from the Gantry team which suggests that get_header() will indeed fail due to the way that theme is structured.
What we’re planning on doing – not just for Gantry but for a number of theme frameworks that operate in a way that differs significantly from default themes – is prepare tutorials to help guide people through integration.
That isn’t going to happen overnight, but we do hope that by the time of our 3.0 release (which is already in beta phase) we will also have the tutorials ready.
If you are still able to send across Gantry and the child theme you are using (if applicable) that could definitely still be useful in our efforts, but we probably will not be able to provide any further support in the immediate future until those tutorials are prepared.
Barry
MemberI believe I read them all, yes – but it’s always possible I missed or misinterpreted something. Is there a reason you ask?
Barry
MemberNo problem at all, glad you’re all sorted here π
Barry
MemberNo worries! (Right now it’s easier for us to leave threads in situ due to limitations with our forum software, so we’ll just leave this in place.)
Barry
MemberHi Tara – are you still in need of assistance here or are you all sorted?
Barry
MemberAgain that’s from your theme’s stylesheet, (suffusion/style.css line 2594):
.dbx-handle{position:relative; margin:0; padding:8px 24px 7px 10px; border-bottom:1px dotted #c0c0c0}So you could amend it directly or override it according to best practices with your particular theme π

MemberHi Graeme,
Sorry to hear that you’ve experienced such a plethora of problems.
I’m not quite sure why the messages about your license keys being out of date are a problem for you … I’m guessing they are inaccurate in your case? Can you confirm that you have indeed entered the relevant keys in Events > Settings and that they have not expired?
My web hoster claims that the update messes up the .htaccess files. Any ideas??
I’d need some more information. Can you provide a copy of your .htaccess file in its “messed up state” for us to look at, or a note of exactly how it was messed up (if you’re hosting provider provided that information)?
Can you also provide some details about your hosting environment – what operating system and web server is in use (this might for instance be CentOS 6.3 and Apache 2.4.3 – if in doubt ask your host)?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberDoh! Sorry for the mixup, I was actually thinking of the single event template (which will be used for pages like this one) … so single.php rather than list.php is the template to adjust.
Barry
MemberSo yeah we’re already aware of this one (I think you were part of the discussion over in this thread) and as stated there we are not going to progress this further since it should be resolved as of the forthcoming 3.0 release.
In the interim the best advice as always in production environments is to turn off the display of errors.
Barry
MemberSorry for the delay Duncan – let me look into this.
