Hi Tara, does this relate to your other post or is it close enough in nature that we can keep the discussion going there?

Hi again Simone – thanks for your patience first of all and apologies for any confusion over the emails.

At this point in time I’m afraid we can’t offer up any quick answers to help with this issue. I’d like to offer an explanation for that and also let you know about what we do plan on doing to help.

Internally, Gantry is structured in a significantly different way from (for example) default WordPress themes such as Twenty Eleven or Twenty Twelve. In light of that some common strategies that we’d normally offer up aren’t going to be viable here.

We totally appreciate that there are quite a number of Gantry users out there that, like you, want to use Gantry and our plugins, so we want to offer you all some sort of support – and the best way for us to do that is going to be by preparing a tutorial (or set of tutorials) to guide you through everything that’s required.

That will take a little time to prepare but we’re making it a priority and if at all possible we will make them available at the same time as The Events Calendar 3.0 is released (no fixed deadline for this yet, but we do expect it to be our next release).

I hope that explains our position and if you have any further questions on this please don’t hesitate to ask.

(For the avoidance of any confusion: WooTickets, of course does not support recurring events currently.)

Okek dokey, well in that case probably your approach (removing the relevant Genesis action) is the best way to do this. Bear with me and I’ll see if I can throw a snippet together.

Hi folks, just checking in with the developer to see what progress has been made and I’ll update you again as soon as I can. Thanks again for your patience!

Hi Jenny – it’s best to put general questions about Events Calendar PRO in the Events Calendar PRO forum: this thread is all about feature requests for WooTickets.

That said, I’m afraid I can’t give any more information. We hope to release 3.0 soon – currently it is in the beta testing phase – but we’re not going to commit ourselves to an absolute deadline there.

I will try to downgrade, though it will break some customization…

Sorry about that – but it’s totally up to you. As you can understand though it’s not really feasible for us to offer support for as yet unreleased third party plugins.

When editing a tickets using the Woocommerce interface, I don’t see any options to set a max quantity.

I’m not sure about that. Where do you see this setting (in the case of products other than tickets)?

Glad that initial problem is sorted 🙂

Can I ask you to create a new thread for your second question? It just helps us to keep things organized, and also makes it easier for others with the same problem to find the answer.

    Thanks!

    Hi Terry!

There is indeed a way to do this, so please discard my previous answer (luckily a colleague highlighted my mistake here – please accept my apologies for providing an incorrect answer first time round).

Custom recurring event patterns are what you’re looking for here and are available if you have a recent version of Events Calendar PRO installed.

I appreciate this answer is woefully late, but if you have any further questions on this please just let me know.

No it’s not ideal and we do appreciate this sort of feedback – I’ll double check to ensure we’ve got an issue logged for this so the devs can look at making this sort of thing easier in a future release.

I can’t find that code in list.php. I didn’t do the overrides just edited the original files.

We can’t force you to use template overrides but we highly recommend it. Can you show me the contents of your list.php template (using a service such as Gist or Pastebin)?

Even if i could just change the background on the default that would be great.

It would be super-appreciated if you could post separate problems in separate threads … makes it a lot less confusing and it also makes it easier for others to find answers to the same question.

OK, posted at the same time there! But yep sounds like you’re on track, so I will close this thread now.

Yes, if the second parameter is something other than false (or a value that evaluates as false, such as zero) then the time will be appended.

    tribe_get_start_date(null, false, 'M j, Y - h:i a');

The above works for me and doesn’t show the time twice. Can you confirm if this is the same as your code?

I don’t know either, I can only suggest trying 🙂

If it helps (for instance if you are forming a pre-sale question to pose to the author of that plugin) then you could mention that WooTickets obtains price data from WC_Products::get_price() … I suspect they may be filtering woocommerce_get_price in which case there is a good chance that it will work but I’m afraid I can’t be sure without seeing the code and testing it out for myself.

Thanks Roger, we don’t have a timeline – right now we’re logging these issues and at some point we’ll assess them and see what we can realistically build in to the next release, partly based on the amount of demand for a given feature – so it’s great to see people taking the time to add their support for something.
