ParticipantHi folks. You kindly helped me resolve this problem when I first purchased ECP last year. The latest update has brought it back. When I mouseover an event on the month calendar there is no popup with info. What you had me change last time was to remove the overflow:hidden styling in events.css (placed in an events folder in my theme) and also in my theme’s style.css. I have triple checked that those are both still in place. Would there now be another place I have to remove that code or could it be something else entirely? Thanks for any help. http://www.attunementpractitioners.org/events/
One other question along these lines. When I upgrade ECP and there are upgrades available for EC, ECP and CE all at once, does it matter what order I do the upgades of the individual plugins?

ParticipantMy apologies, they are back. I have no explanation. :-/ If you have any advice on the upgrade sequence I’d appreciate it. Thanks, Tom

ModeratorHey Tom. I think it’s generally recommended to keep TEC and ECP on the same version number, so I’d make sure to update those at the same time. I can’t answer re:CE.

ParticipantThanks for your reply Andy. I always do them together. The last two times it broke my site. I was wondering if it’s recommended to do TEC first?

MemberPeople do report problems but for the vast majority its pretty seemless; but if for some reason you persistently experience difficulties here is the sort of strategy I would suggest:
- Take a complete backup! You should also make yourself aware of how to restore that backup in case disaster really does strike
- Put your site into “maintenance mode” – there are a number of ways you could do this and there are some plugins available for free that handle this nicely
- Deactivate all of your Modern Tribe plugins
- Update them all in any sequence you like
- Reactivate and check for any problems – then remove “maintenance mode” as soon as you are ready

I visited your site and it looks like this is resolved now – but let me know if you need further help or if you have any more questions ๐

ParticipantThanks Barry, it is resolved but it’s a bit of a mystery to me. I will take your advice on the plugin update and hopefully avoid any more fatal errors. When that happens, I also lose access to my backend and have to modify php files to get rid of the offending lines. It ain’t what I’d call pretty. ๐

MemberNo I’m sure it’s not – and we’re aiming for a smooth experience but it may be the plugin falls short on some occasions in certain environments.
I’m going to close this ticket for now, but if you need further help with this or another issue please go ahead and create a new thread.
Thanks!
