ParticipantIs there a way to force the zip code to be five digits? Guessing this only happens because CT zip codes begin with a zero. They are all input correctly, but display incorrectly. Thanks!

MemberHi Tara – can you just confirm where and in what context you are seeing this?
If I add a venue with an address in Connecticut, for instance, with zip code 01234 I still see that number, complete with leading zero, when I view the event and venue pages.

MemberInteresting. I don’t see this on a default install, running 2.0.10 (for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO).
I see you noted when you opened this thread that you ran through the usual troubleshooting steps (deactivating other plugins, reverting to a default theme etc). I’m guessing that didn’t yield any results to speak of?
If not, can you confirm if you are using custom templates/template overrides and if you’ve tried disabling those?

ParticipantThat didn’t yield any results. The only template overrides are to change the font the meta view, and not to display the meta on single venue pages.

MemberOK, I can’t think of any other causes for this and you’re telling me this happens even without other plugins and only a default, unmodified theme. So, please bear with me a little further while I check in with the team to see if there are any further thoughts.

MemberHi Tara! I am also having no luck recreating this. I even went and started recreating exactly your addresses that failed over in my dev on 2.0.10 to no avail.
Now, in your pages, i see that on page 5 of your list, a few events DID manage to retain their leading 0, such as this one:
http://www.thehartfordstore.com/event/looped-starring-valerie-harper-5/
Is there any way you could look at this in your admin and spot any pattern as to why some of your events do retain the 0? Some kind of common trait to them or their entry/edit flow?
For an event that is dropping the 0, can you try out a different zip, not starting with 0 and see if the bug remains?
Thank you!

ParticipantIt’s so odd — the Bushnell seems to be the only one that does have the 0, and all venues were entered the same way. I edited this one (the site is live now) and it worked with a 1. http://www.hartford.com/event/creative-cocktail-hour/2013-01-17/

ParticipantI’m just fixing it manually. I can’t figure it out at all.
Thanks!January 25, 2013 at 10:39 am #31602Barry
MemberOK – so long as you’re happy with that 🙂 I’ll close this issue but if you need further support with this or anything else please just create a new thread. Thanks!
