    Hello Samuel,

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

InΒ  order for Event Tickets Plus to work you will need The Events Calendar and Event Tickets plugins activated. ET+ is dependent on the other 2, it is an extension of functionality, so it will not work without them.

    I hope this help clarify.

I see that you marked the thread resolved. Is there anything I can still help you with or can I close the thread?

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Sean,

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums.

I’m sorry you are having this issue with overselling tickets. Let me try to help you solve this.

To be able to support you with this case I would like to ask you for a couple of things.

    1. Please try to run a test for conflicting plugins and themes based on the below guide. This can help us eliminate any conflicts other plugins might be causing.

Testing Conflicts With Themes and Other Plugins

    2. Please send me screenshots of the settings of the Event and ticket where you are experiencing this issue, so I can set it up locally and give it a test to see if this is a general issue / bug or if it is only a local issue.

    3. Please also share with me the steps you are taking when this issue happens.

    4. Any other information that you think might be useful for this case.

Thanks and I’m looking forward to receiving the above.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hey Eric,

Happy to help you out with this.

    Yes, you got it right.

The Events Calendar will let you create your events / classes including location, time, and price, however this plugin alone doesn’t give the option to sell tickets.

Event Tickets will allow your visitors to register for different events through RSVPs. And you can set a limit to the number of registrations / RSVPs per event.

Event Tickets Plus will give you the possibility to sell tickets to your events. Please note that you will also need a shopping cart plugin in order for this to work. ET Plus supports WooCommerce, WP eCommerce, Shopp and Easy Digital Downloads. If you don’t know which of these to use, then here’s an article that could help you decide:
    http://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/choosing-ecommerce/

These three plugins should set you up for business.

Does this answer your question? Let me know.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Stephen,

I’m really sorry about this plugin issue. Please hang with me while we solve this.

Our plugins go through thorough testing before each release, however, in some isolated cases it can happen that an update goes wrong. My suspicion is that some files of the Pro plugin didn’t update as expected and got corrupted.

To eliminite the possibility of this, please delete the Pro plugin through your WP Plugins dashboard, and then install a new version. You can download the most recent version from your account at theeventscalendar.com.

Your data is going to be preserved, so you don’t need to be afraid of losing any events or settings. Nonetheless I suggest you do a full backup before doing any updates.

And while you are at it, also update our other plugins as well. We have released a maintenance release last week that solves some minor bugs as well.

Let me know how this goes and we’ll go further if needed. I’ll be here waiting for your reply.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello yodadevo,

Do I understand correctly that when you used twentyfifteen, then the attendee information showed up in the emails, so it was working as intended?

If this is the case then there could be some override in the theme you are using, that modifies this, or possibly the plugin template files in the theme are outdated. I’m not familiar with that theme yet, so cannot pinpoint the location of the files (it would be like pin the tail on the donkey blindfolded πŸ™‚ ).

Try to look around in the folder of the theme whether you can find them, and then update the template files. I believe the best would be to use a child theme with the same folder structure and put the updated files there.

Let me know if you get further with this.

I just realised that your override was for WooTickets, a plugin which we replace with Event Tickets Plus (which you are using already). If you remove the WooTickets overrides, does that help solve it?

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello again bluesmokellc,

I’m afraid I don’t have good news. Our plugin is capable of getting events from a Google Calendar, but it cannot push events to a Google Calendar.

As for exporting all events in UTC timezone, we may be able to help show you custom code to make generating iCal files with event times in UTC, but there is unfortunately no way to do it easily. There are no filters to do it, for example, so that means you would have to modify core plugin code – and so after each plugin update, the changes would be overwritten and lost, and you would have to add the changes back.

I am sorry to bear these news, but hope this information is clear and helps you proceed.

Maybe you can contact one of these developers, who are well known names in the community and are not affiliated with us. They might be able to help you with your customization.

    Hello Biboso,

Thanks for reaching out, that is a great question you have there.

It is absolutely possible to create custom designs and views based on your needs and desires. πŸ™‚ The plugins are created in a way that it is easy to create overrides that are preserved even after a plugin update.

As a starting point for creating custom design I recommend these 2 articles from our knowledgebase:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/template-overview/

I do hope this helps answer your questions and please, don’t hesitate if you want to know anything else.

    Ciao Alessandro,

You can achieve that via customizing / overriding this file:

    wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\src\views\widgets\list-widget.php

There is a detailed description at the beginning of the file on how you can create an override.

You will need to modify around line 56 which handles the showing of the date and time. And I think you will need to use this function instead:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/function/tribe_get_start_time/

This should get you started. Let me know if that helps.

    Cheers,
    Andras

Hi David,At the moment I don’t know of any other method to change the order of the evens in the blogroll, I’m sorry. It’s highly likely it is possible with further tweaking that snippet, but that is beyond the scope of our support I’m afraid.

Please note, when I tired to switch to your theme, I didn’t have the EC Pro activated and the site threw me a fatal:

    <b>Fatal error</b>: Uncaught Error: Class ‘TribeEventsPro’ not found in D:\www\tec\wp-content\themes\SACA_theme\functions.php:54 Stack trace: #0 D:\www\tec\wp-includes\plugin.php(524): remove_related_events(”) #1 D:\www\tec\wp-settings.php(411): do_action(‘init’) #2 D:\www\tec\wp-config.php(90): require_once(‘D:\\www\\tec\\wp-s…’) #3 D:\www\tec\wp-load.php(39): require_once(‘D:\\www\\tec\\wp-c…’) #4 D:\www\tec\wp-admin\admin.php(31): require_once(‘D:\\www\\tec\\wp-l…’) #5 D:\www\tec\wp-admin\themes.php(10): require_once(‘D:\\www\\tec\\wp-a…’) #6 {main} thrown in <b>D:\www\tec\wp-content\themes\SACA_theme\functions.php</b> on line <b>54</b>

You might want to check this, maybe include an if statement to check if the Pro plugin is activated before activating the theme.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Hi Jen,

Thanks for getting back to me on that with the details.

Interesting that it doesn’t work on the same domain, this is something we will need to investigate.

Yes, the automated WordPress emails usually go out from a wordpress (at) domain (dot) com address. So that would be a good start.

Please, when you have this set up with your IT guy, let me know if it works with the same domain address. This might be a useful solution for more people.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras
