No email notification sent for submitted event

    No email is being sent to notify about community events submitted for approval. Events are there as drafts in the back end, but no notification email is sent. Have tried different email addresses.

    Hello Jen,

    I’m sorry you are having this issue, let me try to help you with this.

    Do you receive other emails, for example when you add a new user to your site or when you receive a comment on your site? If you are not getting these emails either, then there could be a more generic problem.

    Meanwhile I’m also checking this, please try to test the above and let me know.

    Thanks for your message. Our other emails notifications are working. Just did a test by commenting on a post. – Jen

    Actually, just set the email address to be notified as my gmail instead of using my domain email and it worked! – I can speak to my IT guy have him make sure these emails aren’t getting rejected or filtered…which email should be put on the “approved” list? The email notification says it came from “[email protected]”. Do you know if that’s correct?

    Thanks for getting back to me on that with the details.

    Interesting that it doesn’t work on the same domain, this is something we will need to investigate.

    Yes, the automated WordPress emails usually go out from a wordpress (at) domain (dot) com address. So that would be a good start.

    Please, when you have this set up with your IT guy, let me know if it works with the same domain address. This might be a useful solution for more people.
