My events are overselling. I have set my global stock of each ticket to a certain number but the events are overselling. I have yet to see my events have a sold out thing on them. They always seem to have ONE ticket left and are oversold. This puts me in an incredibly bad situation where I have to now phone people and say sorry but you cannot come.
I am using Woocommerce as my gateway and both Stripe and Paypal as my payment methods. Please help as I have a bunch of events coming up that I won’t be able to keep a close eye on to make sure this does not happen again.

    Hello Sean,

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums.

I’m sorry you are having this issue with overselling tickets. Let me try to help you solve this.

To be able to support you with this case I would like to ask you for a couple of things.

    1. Please try to run a test for conflicting plugins and themes based on the below guide. This can help us eliminate any conflicts other plugins might be causing.

Testing Conflicts With Themes and Other Plugins

    2. Please send me screenshots of the settings of the Event and ticket where you are experiencing this issue, so I can set it up locally and give it a test to see if this is a general issue / bug or if it is only a local issue.

    3. Please also share with me the steps you are taking when this issue happens.

    4. Any other information that you think might be useful for this case.

Thanks and I’m looking forward to receiving the above.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello,

I had this problem a while back too and was told by the guy who fixed it that the issue lay with paypal not talking to woo commerce, so sales weren’t registering. Might be worth looking into. It was a right pain.

Wow that is really not good. I left Event Espresso after a few years of happy use so I could have the functionality of WooCommerce. I knew you had problems overselling years ago from other people that had to abandon your platform. I assumed it was fixed. What’s an eta on the fix for this. I cannot micromanage each of my events to make sure they don’t oversell. Already this week I have had to personally phone a bunch of people apologising profusely and offering compensation.

I will need an ETA answer from you so I can work out whether I need to move to another system or wait for the fix.

I am also not going to give up PHP7 just to make a plugin work.

    Hello Sean,

I apologize for this upsetting issue, I can understand how frustrating this can be for you with all the unpleasant extra work and phonecalls.

The issue is now top priority on our bug list and I specifically flagged it to the team so they can get a fix out as soon as possible. I will reconnect with them to see if they can estimate a release for this fix which I’ll share with you immediately. I ask for a bit of patience.

    Thanks,

    Andras

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
