    Hello Carolyn,

    Thanks for reaching out to us. I’m really sorry you are also hit by this issue.

    To be absolutely clear on your issue I would have some questions:

    You went back to Facebook importer because some events were imported with Event Aggregator but not all? Or no events were imported at all?

    Do you have scheduled imports that are not running automatically for several days?

    Were they running automatically before without issue? Since when are they not running? Was it after an update? Do you know which one / when?

    Can you share some urls so I can test?

    Thanks,
    Andras

    Hello Tristen,

    Thanks for using our plugins and for reaching out to us!

    I have checked your site, clicked on “Global events”, and after the page fully loaded I saw the whole world with dozens of pins. Here’s a screenshot.

    Are you seeing something else? Please empty the cache of your browser and check if that helps. If you get something else, please share a screenshot.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Michelle,

    Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

    I’m sorry you are having issues with the map. Let me try to help you with this.

    As a first, please note that we don’t provide support customization. Your best bet for that would be the developer who helped you implement the custom code, as it seems the issue is coming from there.

    Deactivated the code and all events are still not showing. It only shows California events. But if I search for something I know is from another city it shows up.

    I have checked your calendar and I got the full map of the world. Here’s a screenshot of what I saw after the page fully loaded. If you are not seeing this, then that could be a caching issue. Deactivate any caching plugins you might have in place and erase your browser cache, then check if that solves it.

    I upped the Number of events to show per page so now they are showing, however it loads slower now. Any advice? Please and thanks!

    The number of events to be loaded influences the load speed, that is natural. The more data you want to show, the more time it takes to get it from the database and more time to show it, especially if you have lots of images.

    Here’s a list of articles that could help you with this.

    Let me know if this helps or if you still have any questions.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Janice,

    Thanks for reaching out to us and I’m really sorry about this issue you are having!

    I’m not quite sure why PRO would have an issue with not having www in the domain name. I have a test site and a local install not using www and not experiencing any issues. Also, we don’t hardcode www into the plugins for sure.

    My hunch is that is has something to do with the code you implemented for the HSTS headers.

    To be able to troubleshoot this issue I need a bit of help from you.

    First I’d like to ask you to share your system information with me. Here’s a nice little guide on how you can do that easily.

    Second, please check if you are getting the same error message if you deactivate all plugins except for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO, and switch to a default theme like twentysixteen, and removing any customizations made to our plugin files if you did any. Let me know the results of that.

    Looking forward to solving this issue with you!

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Karen,

    Sorry for the radio silence, Shelby got help up unexpectedly so I’m jumping in to help out.

    I checked your site and if I understand correctly you would like to adjust the font size of the event title and event date.

    For the event title copy the following css snippet into your theme’s style.css file (or if there is a place for it in the Avada settings then there):

    #wrapper .post-content h2.tribe-events-single-event-title {
    font-size: 20px;
    }

    For the date you can use this:

    .single-tribe_events .fusion-events-featured-image .fusion-events-single-title-content .tribe-events-schedule h3 {
    font-size: 14px;
    white-space: unset;
    }

    Adjust the font sizes as needed.

    Hope this helps, let us know.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello First United,

    Sorry for the delay in the reply, Shelby has been held up unexpectedly and I’m jumping in to help out.

    Sorry about your importing issue. To clarify and reassure you, you <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>only</span> need a valid Event Aggregator license to be able to import with EA. The PRO license is not needed at all.

    You need the PRO license only to be eligible for automatic updates of Events Calendar PRO. Also, it is recommended to keep all plugins up to date as the combination of a newer version of The Events Calendar and an older version of Events Calendar PRO can produce glitches and bugs.

    Speaking of updates: we had an issue with Event Aggregator where some automatic imports didn’t run automatically. We have fixed that bug in the most recent 4.5.4 version. Please update The Events Calendar and let us know if you still have the issue.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hi Wade,

    As said I have also created a sitemap on my local install with the free version of the All in One SEO plugin with default settings for generating the sitemap and I didn’t get any duplicates.

    Check your All in One SEO settings on how the sitemap is generated, maybe set them back to default and see if that solves the issue. Let me know.

    To check Post Expirator go to Settings > Post Expirator > Defaults tab and look for the section with “Post Type: tribe-ea-record”. Set that to “Inactive”.

    Here’s a screenshot.

    Let me know what you find.

    Hi Nick,

    The alternate cron only influences how the scheduled tasks of WordPress are run and shouldn’t have any other influence, definitely not removing scheduled imports. I’m more suspicious of Post Expirator.

    With the category that is being imported, I’m not quite sure what is happening. When you make the export from google, it gets into that exported file, so somehow google is putting it there. Check if you see that url show up anywhere on the events page in google calendar. Potentially what you can also try is put in a category for the event; check what category shows up at the import (hopefully only the new one); then remove the category from the event in google calendar.

    Another alternative: delete the current event series from google calendar and re-create it from scratch.

    Hope this helps you move forward.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hi,

    I can not choose a method, Default – as the screenshot is not available

    Does that mean you are not able to start error logging at all?

    To be able to see whether this is an issue of our plugin or the specific setup you have, would you be able to set up a new blank site on the same server (maybe under a subdomain?) with our plugins only and test if the scheduled imports are running there?

    Thanks,
    Andras

    Hello Marcus,

    I checked and tested your file. Indeed it produces the error you submitted. That comes from the formatting of the file.

    I’m not sure how you are generating the file, but if you can, then try a different setting.

    This is what worked for me with your file:

    • open a blank excel sheet
    • choose Data > Text to insert data from the csv file to the sheet
    • it recognized it with the “;” delimiter and having a 1252 Western European encoding (likely ANSI)
    • I did a Save as > CSV UTF-8 (so a comma delimited file using comma (not semi-colon) and utf-8 encoding
    • upload to WP and run the import

    Like that it worked well.

    Try and let me know how you manage.

    Cheers,
    Andras
