Hello
I’d be grateful for some advice please.
I’m using the Community Events plugin with the setting unticked for ‘Allow anonymous submissions’ (i.e. to submit an event the user must be logged in).
However, when a logged in user visits the page to submit an event (https://pinkweddingsmagazine.com/events/community/add), the user is not recognised as being logged in, and in fact they may actually be getting logged out when they visit the page. They are presented with a login form rather than the submit an event form, and when completing the login form, they are then directed to the WordPress dashboard rather than the submit an event form.
I’ve disabled all plugins except the Events Calendar and Community Events and the issue is still the same.
I’ve also reverted to the 2014 theme and the issue is still the same.
I own a licence for the plugin for another site, and had no similar issues with that. I’d also double checked the settings as the same across both sites.
Kind Regards
Ash

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums! Sorry about the troubles you are having, let me try to help you with that.
I did a registration on your website and I see what is happening.
What I also discovered is that the registration goes on a secure (https) page, but when I log in, then I’m redirected to a non-secure (http) page.
The links in the meta widget (Admin, Dashboard) don’t work in any case, I guess that’s blocked / redirected.
However, if I log in on the non-secure page, then it redirects me properly to the event submission form.

So try checking something around this. ๐
I hope this helps!

Thank you for your advice on the issue I mentioned.
There appears to have been a couple of things incorrectly set up on the site causing the problem, but none of them relating to your plugin.
You pointed me in the right direction with some links pointing to http and others pointing to https thanks. That was indeed the case. Also, the link being used to ‘add an event’ wasn’t using wwww, and that seemed to cause a problem too.
Thanks again for your time.
Regards
Ash
