I have the same issue as many other: The Plugin imports no Facebook-Events.
Under Events -> Help the Plugin Reports that wp cron is not running.
I have disabled the original WP Cron and run a Cronjob all 15 minutes.

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!
I’m really sorry about this import issue. If I understand correctly then your automatic imports are not working, but when run manually, they do. Is that correct?
We are aware of a bug like this and our developers are already on the job to fix this.
The workaround for the moment is running them manually. I’m sorry for this inconvenience.
I’ll add your thread to the bugticket as well. Also I am going to set the status of this ticket to “pending fix” and we will update it once the fix is released.
If you have any new questions or issues please create a new ticket and we’ll be happy to help you.

How can I import the FB events manually?
Greets Marcus
June 2, 2017 at 12:42 pm #1292570AndrasKeymasterWhen you go to Events > Import > Scheduled imports then hover over one and in the list of actions below the title you will see “Run now”. Click on that and the import will start within a few seconds.
Looks like this.
The other option is going to Events > Import > New import and simply running it there, but if you have the url already set up as a scheduled one, then the previous option is faster.
Hope this helps.

It looks as if it works manually
June 5, 2017 at 12:42 pm #1293315AndrasKeymasterThanks for confirming that, Marcus.
I checked the status of the fix. It needs to go through 2 rounds of testing and if all goes according to plan it will ship within 2 weeks or so. Hang in there.

June 6, 2017 at 12:17 pm #1293955AndrasKeymasterHey jskk123,
Thanks for chiming in. I’m really sorry that this issue is crippling your site. We are already working on a fix and we will release it as soon as possible.
In the meantime, while it might not be the most convenient, you can still run the imports manually on your Events > Imports > Scheduled Imports page. Hang in there, the fix is on the way!

It looks like the update does not help with me.
I installed it yesterday, and today the events should be updated. This has not happened
June 8, 2017 at 1:06 pm #1295417AndrasKeymasterI’m sorry to hear that Marcus.
To get a clear picture of the current status:
- You have the latest versions of our plugins
- You have the scheduled imports set up to run automatically every sometime
- You have disabled the WP cron
- You are running a cron every 15 minutes
There are 2 things which we can still try here.
If you disabled the WP cron becasue of this issue, then you can try running that again instead of the custom cronjob.
Try deleting and setting up one of the scheduled imports and check if it runs.
Please try these so we can further narrow down the source of the issue.
Thanks and cheers,
AndrasJune 9, 2017 at 9:32 am #1295780MarcusParticipantHello Andras!
It seems to Work with the original WP-Cron.
Is it possible to call the import with a special cronjob? I have read, the original WP-Cron the system is too much burden
June 9, 2017 at 2:02 pm #1295966AndrasKeymasterYes, it is possible. Most CPanel type hosting environments provide a UI to set this up.
Here’s a nice article that might help you set it up, though it requires that you have shell access. Possibly your provider can help with that as well.

And here’s another one:
Let me know if this helps.

AndrasJune 10, 2017 at 9:36 am #1296240MarcusParticipantI was probably looking forward to early. Today it did not work again
June 12, 2017 at 2:11 pm #1296839AndrasKeymasterHallo Marcus,
Could you please clarify which cron it didn’t work with?
Also, please enable error logging under Events > Help (screenshot) and check if you see any Event Aggregator related data appear after a while.
To start also checking on another thread, would it be possible to set up a new blank site on the same server (maybe under a subdomain?) with our plugins only and test if the scheduled imports are running there?
Thanks,
Andras
