    Hey Brian,

    I checked these for you.

    The “and” is translatable, probably it is a new string and is not yet translated in the tribe-events-calendar-pro-de_DE.po file. If you that in wp-content/languages/plugins then you might need to run an update from the POT file.

    Here’s a screenshot of the string in PoEdit.

    “Create or Find …” – this has been also refined. You will need a refreshed .po file and then look for the strings which I marked in this screenshot. Those strings have been fuzzied / marked ‘needs work’. Take a look at them, adjust if needed and then switch off the ‘needs work’ switch. Then they should be properly translated.

    I just tested both so it works. Let us know if you still encounter any issues.

    Cheers,

    Hi Kevin,

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Sorry about this import issue. Let me try to help you with this.

    1. I ran some test. At the moment I’m not quite sure why the accents get dropped on an ics import. I have filed a bugticket on this so our devs can take a look at it.

    2. When importing the ical feed the venues do not get imported at the moment. This is a bug we are aware of and work will soon start on this one.

    3. What I also noticed is that if you import the events from the site as “Other URL (beta)” and use the site’s url, then the accents will get properly imported. Also, the venues will be imported.

    I couldn’t yet reproduce the issue with the address. It looks like only the address detail is changed to 31, the title remains intact. Is that so?

    Hello Marc,

    Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

    Great questions there! Let me try to help you with this.

    Hi I would like to know if it is possible for a user to login and see their tickets with the QR codes.

    That is not part of the current functionality of our plugins. This can most probably be done with some custom coding and a template override. You can find more info on template overrides in our Themer’s Guide – https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

    As for the QR codes, when they are generated they are saved in the wp-content/uploads folder, so you can access them there.

    My client is having a problem where users dont get the emails and he has to go through and keep sending them out.

    I’m really sorry to hear that. We usually recommend the use of an smtp plugin. Email deliveries tend to be more reliable with it than using the build in WordPress mailer.

    if they logged into the website, maybe there is a place where they can see their orders and QR codes,

    If they created a profile when purchasing the tickets, then after logging in and going to the event page they should see what’s in this screenshot.

    Clicking on ‘View your tickets’ will take them to a page where all their tickets for that event are listed. The QR codes are not shown there, but again, with some customization / template override that should be possible to execute.

    alternatively, on checkout, can they see their QR code there as well possibly

    No, this is not part of the functionality. Usually the checkout page is left quite fast, so no real reason / use of showing the QR code there, also because they should receive it in an email. But again, customization … template override … 🙂

    Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Jenn,

    Thanks for going Pro and welcome to the forums! I’m sorry to hear about your issue with the search bar (tribe bar) and I would be happy to help you. I understand how frustrating an issue can be, so let’s get down to solving it to chase your frustrations away.

    I’ve seen you shared your system information and that you are using the latest versions of our plugins. This is a great start! Props for that!

    I have checked you site (nice design btw) and went to the calendar. I see that you have some events in there. All of them have the same title, so this makes it difficult to test if the search works right or not.

    Can you share with me some more details on what kind of search you tried to conduct that didn’t yield any results?

    It would also be great if you could create a couple more test events with different titles. That will make it easier to test the keyword search.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Dean,

    Thanks for reaching out!

    I checked the file for you, thanks for attaching it.

    All the events that are in that feed are in the past (early November) so by default Event Aggregator doesn’t show them to you.

    If you enter an earlier date in the date field (e.x. 2017-11-01) then the events which come after that will already show up. Here’s a screenshot I just did of that.

    Hope this helps. Check and let me know if you have any further questions.

    Cheers,

    Hello Samantha,

    Thanks for reaching out to us! I’m really sorry about the issues you are having. Let me try to help you solve and fix them.

    I have checked your calendar page and the event you referenced. Both loaded fine for me. Also I didn’t experience anything unusual in terms of load times. Can you confirm that these issues are not there any more?

    I included some screen shots of the edit pages for the events- you can see that there are 14 events with the search result but only 3 are showing

    Please give me some time to investigate this.

    when I click to edit the 11/16/17 event I get a blank page that has code when I highlight it.

    How was the event created? Was it imported? Manually entered? How was the description added to the event? Pasted from a document? When pasting content from google docs for example, there can be some hidden code coming with the text which will get pasted as well and will not be visible at first. You can counteract that if before pasting the text you click on the ‘Paste as text’ button. (screenshot)

    I have been having tons of problems with the ticketing, it doubles attendees a lot but not consistently.

    I’m really sorry to hear that. Can you send me some screenshots of the duplication? Do you also have duplicate / separate orders for those duplicated attendees?

    the count on attendees is incorrect most of the time.

    Can you please send some screenshots / examples of this? Is it incorrect on the events which have the unwanted duplicates or also on others?

    Thanks and looking forward to helping you with this.

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Marijke,

    Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry about the issues you are having.

    Could you also please check what my colleague said in the other thread? We are trying to collect as much information about the issue as possible.

    Please see if there are any console errors by inspecting the page? We have an article that explains how to do that here > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-google-chrome-developer-tools/

    Also it could be worth trying to downgrade The Events Calendar to a previous version and see if it fixes the issue. To learn more about how you can downgrade your plugins, please refer to the following article > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/.

    Looking forward to hearing your report.

    Hello Kennon,

    Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!

    I’m sorry about these issues. Let me try to help you with this.

    http://www.facebook.com/groups/1054411517905019

    I found that this is a closed group I’m not part of. I didn’t see events for it like that, so couldn’t import it.

    http://www.facebook.com/groups/TASGoTLCG

    The url didn’t work like that. However, when I looked up the Facebook ID of the group (here) and entered it like http://www.facebook.com/groups/<span id="code">252776594867436</span> it did seem to work.

    http://www,facebook.com/groups/198982526792618

    This page doesn’t seem to exist.

    https://www.facebook.com/groups/486258764843960/

    The one event on this page comes from a different, closed group. I guess that is why I see anything in the preview.

    https://www.facebook.com/groups/1136913409724561/events/

    I’m not part of that group yet.

    https://www.facebook.com/groups/agotdk/

    The event might be too far in the future. Please check your import limit settings under Events > Settings > Import tab.

    https://www.facebook.com/groups/615270368485753/

    and

    https://www.facebook.com/groups/971010366299622/

    Doesn’t have any future events.

    Please check the above and let me know how I can help you further.

    Hello Cheryl,

    Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry about your issue with the attendee list. Let me try to help you.

    Can you please specify where you see that? Is it on the front-end or on the back-end? Which page?

    If it is on the front-end on the event page, then visitors, when they purchase a ticket they have the option to check not to be shown on the public list. (screenshot)

    Could this be the case?

    Hi Justin

    Again, thank you for your patience.

    A developer was able to cook up a fix for this issue. It will be released with the upcoming maintenance release in the coming days.

    Once it comes out and you updated please check if it solves your issue. I would be happy to hear the results.

    Thanks and cheers,

    Ciao Roberto,

    I’m sorry for only getting back to you now. We are being hammered in the forums at the moment, and everything takes a bit longer.

    I managed to re-look at your code and I think I found the issue. In your code you have single quotes in the array where you don’t need them.

    Here is the adjusted code that I tested on my site and it worked. Let me know if this also works for you.

    register_post_type( 'instructors', array(
    'labels' => array(
    'name' => 'Instructors',
    'singular_name' => 'Instructor',
    'singular_name_lowercase' => 'instructor',
    'plural_name_lowercase' => 'instructors'
    ),
    'public' => true
    ));

    function tribe_link_instructors_to_events() {
    tribe_register_linked_post_type(
    'instructors',
    array(
    singular_name => 'Presenter',
    singular_name_lowercase => 'presenter',
    allow_multiple => true,
    allow_creation => true
    )
    );
    }

    add_action( 'init', 'tribe_link_instructors_to_events' );

    Cheers,
    Andras

    Hello Preethi,

    Just wanted to get back to you to give you update on the issues.

    I’m sorry about the thread being closed. If there is no movement for 3 weeks then the threads do get closed automatically. We got a bit overloaded in the forums and didn’t manage to get back to you in time. Apologies.

    A fix for the issue where ticket meta data is overwritten has been shipped recently. Can you please check and let me know if that works fine on your site already? Thanks!

    The other issue with tickets doubling on a cart page refresh is waiting for a developer to be assigned to, so that is still pending at the moment.

    I am going to set the status of this ticket to “pending fix” and we will update it once the fix is released.

    I’d be happy if you could let me know if the first issue is resolved for you or not.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

    Hi Katie,

    The duplication can occur for several reasons.

    1. There might be a bug in out plugin.

    We would need to dig a bit further to see if this is the case. Starting point would be deleting all imported events, then removing them from the ‘Ignored’ list, and setting up a new import. Then monitor if the events are being duplicated with every import.

    2. The snippet that we provided does some changes to an event when it’s imported. When a next scheduled import is run it might see that the event details are different, so it imports the event again. This is also influenced by the setting under Events > Settings > Imports tab > Event Update authority.

    To test this the start would be the first step above while having the snippet deactivated. If it is confirmed that Step 1 works without issues, then re-enable the snippet and check if duplicates start afterwards.

    Probably the best would be if you could set up a staging site where we can test all this without effecting the live site. Would that be possible?
