ParticipantHello, I am unable to figure out when I create a “once” occurrence for an event, that it creates yet another one for the following day. For instance, the event takes place Fri, Sat & Sun, with a matinee on Sun at 2 pm, Fri & Sat 7:30 pm. I create the ‘once’ event for Sunday at 2-4 pm, and it shows up on Monday from 9 pm until 3 am…or something like that. I have not kept screenshots to show you. I just deleted the ‘once’ event from the post and made sure the details were in the body of the Fri/Sat 7:30 pm post.
Do you know what I’m doing wrong, or what I need to do to eliminate these ‘ghost’ Monday events? Thank you. Krystyna

KeymasterHi Krystyna,
Thanks for getting in touch! I’m happy to help you with this one.
Based on your description I believe you are doing everything right.
It would be great if you could try to re-create this again and send me a screenshot on how the event is set up and what are the recurrence rules.
(Note: if you set up a private event, that will not be visible to your visitors.)
Looking forward to helping you solve this.
Cheers,

KeymasterHello again Krystyna,
I’m sorry to hear about the troubles. I ran the test again, this time creating the recurring event through the Community Event Submission Form, and all worked fine this time as well.
Could you please send the 3 screenshots I asked for above?
Did you manage to go through our conflict testing guide? It would be great if you could try creating a recurring event with all but the calendar plugins active and using a default theme like twentyseventeen. This would help us eliminate the possibility of a conflict with another plugin / theme.
Thanks,

ParticipantGood morning,
In the month view, when I mouse over it shows the event correct on the first night, and then the 2nd event at 2 pm the next day does not show up. It created a 2nd event at 9 pm-12 am, then another two more days (through April 4) at 9 pm. If I say it ends on April 2, why does it create two more days and at the wrong time. And where is my 2 pm event? When I mouse over on April 3 and 4, the description says April 2 – April 4, 9 pm – 12 am. -
