MemberHi Jan!
Thanks for taking your time to report this.
Let me go through each of your points:
1. Could you please send us some examples about this in your own language so we can analyze it?
2. This seems like a good point. I will log a bug report about this so the dev team can address it in a future maintenance release of our plugins. I will set this thread as “Pending fix” and link it to the report so we’ll notify you once it’s been fixed.
3. Could you please send us a screenshot of this? It might as well be a theme or plugin conflict, so please test for conflicts by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ and let us know if you find anything.
Thanks,
VictorVictor
MemberHi Kari!
Thanks for reaching out to us! Let me help you with this topic.
We have a great article that will get you started on Performance Considerations you should know about. After that, if you decide to implement a caching system then you can move to these articles: Caching: What, when and how and Caching month view HTML in transients
Finally, there is a good article George put up here that groups a set of developer plugins. It’s a bit more technical than the others but will definitely be of help if you are into development.
3,600 events is certainly a number of events to take into account when considering the performance of your site. Regarding the plugin you mentioned running that pointed out the issue, could you please let us know which plugin you used and send us the results of the report so we can have a look at it?
Also, when coming back, please share with us your system information by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Let us know how that goes.
Thanks,
VictorVictor

MemberHi Tracy!
Glad to know you are on the right path now. Thanks for letting us know about it.
As you marked this resolved I’ll go ahead and close it, but do feel free to open a new topic if anything comes up and we’d be happy to help 🙂

MemberHi Anna,
You can change the template of the Events page so it shows up in one the available templates in your theme, by going to Events > Settings > Display and changing the Events template selected.
The Default Events Template does not have a built in sidebar, so you might want to select another available from your theme that includes a sidebar. To learn more about this > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/stylesheets-and-page-templates/
Let me know how that goes 🙂

Were you able to download, install and activate the extension in this article ? > https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/change-labels-events-venues-organizers/
Are you having problems with the installation/activation of that extension? Let me know about it so I can further help you.

September 12, 2017 at 10:48 pm in reply to: Customising the header row in the month and week views #1348408Victor
MemberHi Geordie!
Thanks for clearing that out.
The code you are talking about is part of the options available in the WordPress customizer. Like you say, if you assign a Calendar Table Color under Month View, then the “.tribe-events-calendar thead th” selector gets assigned a darker color based on the color you select.
There is no built in option to manually change the color of that header, so if you wanted to assign a specific color to it, you would need to customize it by adding custom CSS.
If you were to customize the calendar header in a way that has a different color for the month and week view, then you can either user the following selectors:
.tribe-events-calendar thead th
.tribe-events-grid .tribe-grid-header .tribe-grid-content-wrap .column
.tribe-grid-headerand assign them different colors, but bear in mind that designating a color for Calendar Table Color in the customizer will apply some styles to them so you will have to use the !important statement.
Does it help with what you are trying to achieve? Let me know about it.

VictorVictor
MemberHi Alex,
I’m sorry about the confusion, I missed the fact that you are actually using the shortcode in a different way.
I’m not sure I understand exactly how you are creating the events page. Is the page-events.php a custom template where you are embedding the shortcode? If so, please share with us a copy of that template (in a private reply if you’d like) so we can make some tests and see if we can help you with that.
Thanks,

MemberHi John!
Thanks for reaching out to us.
I can see all the options for Image Widget Plus are not showing, so there might be a conflict of some sort. Perhaps there is theme conflict or the plugin installation got corrupted somehow.
I know you marked Deactivated all other plugins? Yes. Did you try switching to a default theme like twenty seventeen and see if any difference?
Before proceeding with a refund, if you are still interested in testing out our plugin, you can do so and ask for a refund later as we have a pretty good refund policy > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/
If you want to give it a try, let me know and I’d be happy to help with the issue to make it work.
On the other hand, if you confirm you want a refund I’ll go ahead and proceed with it.
Feel free to ask any other questions you might have 🙂

MemberHi Alyson!
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Let me try to help you with each question:
1 & 2. That is mostly sure related to a theme conflict with your theme. Please try switching to a default theme like twenty seventeen and see if it shows ok.
If it doesn’t, please go through the steps provided in our testing for conflicts guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ and see what you find in the process as it might also be a plugin conflict.
3. We have an extension that will allow you to do just that > https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/change-labels-events-venues-organizers/. Please try it out and see if it works for you.
Let us know how that goes.
Thanks,
