ParticipantHello,
The links of the first event in the recruiting events series do not work.
Name of the event, photo, and “Find out more” for some reason lead to the same page of all recruiting events.
The second event links do work. So I wasn’t sure how to fix that.
Please let me know.https://kingofkingswc.com/events/possessing-new-vessel/all/
Please see the attached image, where I shoed you with red arrows the links that don’t work.Your customer service here is AWESOME!
Thank you

MemberHi Anna!
Thanks for getting in touch with us and for the kind words š
Let me help you troubleshoot that issue.
First, please make sure you are using the latest versions of our plugins. These may contain fixes for old bugs that could relate to your problem.
This could also be related to a theme or plugin conflict, so to narrow the problem down, please go through the complete steps in this guide >Ā https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/Ā and let us know what you find in the process.
When coming back, please share with us your system information by following this guide >Ā https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/. This will allow us to see if there is any indication of a problem.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Victor,
Thank you for your reply.I started testing out theme or plugin conflict. When I tried Twenty Seventeen Theme, I still saw the same problem. After that I deactivated all plugins expect The Events Calendar, and the problem was gone. So now I know that there is a plugin conflict indeed. I just don’t know which one just yet.
So when I activated all plugins back again, I ran into even more problems!!! All styling that I diligently created for my site are gone. Now every events page looks bad. I can create the styles over again, but I can’t figure out how to have the sidebar on individual events pages. I am using a BeTheme, and I do not have my regular settings to create a sidebar on an events page. Please help me to have the sidebar back. This new problem is now more important than the original problem.
Thank you,

MemberHi Anna!
Thanks for following up with this to keep us posted about it.
I’m sorry you experienced those problems while testing for conflicts. I’m glad to know you could get the sidebar back again though.
We always encourage to setup a staging/dev site where you can make all this tests and perform every plugin/theme/WordPress update in there so you don’t disrupt your live site in case something breaks.
We also suggest you performa full backup of your site, both database and files, so you can restore your site in case something goes wrong.
but I am not sure how to add a specific sidebar. Do you know how to do that?
I’m not sure what you mean by specific sidebar. That is something you should be able to achieve from your theme side. I’d like to help you with this, so could you please share a link to the page where you want to add it? You can also send us a screenshot.
Regarding the conflict, were you able to spot the conflicting plugin? Let us know about this so we can further assist you in finding a solution.
Also, please remember to come back with your system information so we can see if we find anything strange in it.
Thanks,

ParticipantVictor,
This is the page where I need to set up a specific sidebar. (I am using Betheme)
https://kingofkingswc.com/events/Usually, I create a sidebar and then go to the page and assign a sidebar to a specific page.
But I didn’t create an “Events” page, it’s made by the plugin. So, how do I assign one of my sidebars to the Events page?Thank you

MemberHi Anna,
You can change the template of the Events page so it shows up in one the available templates in your theme, by going to Events > Settings > Display and changing theĀ Events templateĀ selected.
The Default Events TemplateĀ does not have a built in sidebar, so you might want to select another available from your theme that includes a sidebar. To learn more about this >Ā https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/stylesheets-and-page-templates/
Let me know how that goes š
