    Hi Jeff!

Where are you currently placing the code snippet? You should be pasting the code into your active theme’s functions.php file.

You mentioned before that you were already customizing the widget somehow, try using the snippet without anything else and see how it works.

    Let me know about it.

    Hi Suzanne!

    Thanks for clearing that out.

Just to confirm I understand correctly, when you switch back to a default theme it does work correctly?

If it does, how did you disabled the arrows for your theme? Could you please enable them so we can see the issue ourselves and inspect the page to see if we find the problem?

If you don’t want to disrupt your live site, I’d suggest you set up a dev/staging site so you can test things out. You can also send us a copy of your theme, in a private reply so we can run some tests on our side.

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hi Sandra!

I’m sorry for the confusion. So you are not receiving the email when an event is added via the community add form.

Are you receiving other email notifications from your site? If not, this could be due to a problem on the server side of things, so I’d suggest you get in touch with your hosting provider.

If you are receiving other emails from your site, but just not this particular email notification, then it could some sort of conflict.

Could you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG ? This will create a debug.log file inside the /wp-content directory.

After that, try reproducing the issue a few times, so that in case there is an error, it will be saved into the debug.log file. Please share that log file with us so we can see if any problem from there.

Additionally, this could be related to a theme or plugin conflict, so to narrow the problem down please go through the steps provided in the testing for conflicts guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/ and let us know what you find in the process.

Let me know how that goes.

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hi Kyle!

    I’m sorry that didn’t work.

Please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG. This will create a debug.log file inside the /wp-content directory.

After that, try reproducing the issue a few times, so that in case there is an error, it will be saved into the debug.log file. Please share that log file with us so we can see if any problem from there.

Additionally, I see you have tried the following:

    • Deactivated all other plugins? Yes
    • Switched to a default theme? Yes

Did you happen to notice a difference when deactivating all other plugins or switching to a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Seventeen? What happens if you try deactivating all plugins and switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme together? Do you notice a difference then?

If you see no difference in those conditions, then we’ll need to do some deeper troubleshooting.

Please let me know about it.

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hey Ryan!

Great to know that! Thanks for following up to let us know about it.

Props to Mathew for sharing that code! 🙂

I’ll close this now, but as always feel free to open a new topic if anything comes up and we’d be happy to assist.

    Cheers,

    Hi Christina!

I’m glad to know the recurring event issue was solved by updating the plugin. Thanks for following up with this to let me know about it 🙂

As for the expired license message, thank you for sending over the screenshot. It does seem strange that you are still getting the message after updating. Events Calendar PRO 4.4.18 is the latest version right now, so you shouldn’t need to update for the moment.

I will reach out to the team about this error to see if they have more insight on this.

In the meantime, could you please go to your wp-admin > Dashboard > Updates and click the “Check Again” button? After that, do you still get the update notice?

If you still do, please re-try the steps I mentioned before to clear the license and save it again. Does it clear the message?

Please let us know about it.

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hi Linda!

Thank you for following up with this.

We always try to keep our articles up to date with the plugins functionalities and how to use them, so your feedback is highly appreciated. I will make sure to pass this along to the team.

I actually found the article that explains how to import events from a feed or URL and what is actually capable of importing from each source > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/import-from-feed-or-url/. I’m sorry I missed to share that article with you before.

For future reference, let me also share with you this link > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/plugin/event-aggregator/ where you’ll find a list of all the articles we have for the Event Aggregator service.

As you marked this “Resolved”, I’ll go ahead and close this thread, but don’t hesitate to open a new topic if anything comes up and we’d be happy to help.

    Good luck with your project,
    Victor

    Hi Stacy!

Thanks for getting in touch with us! Let me help you with that.

Event Aggregator is the built in tool for The Events Calendar plugin that enables you to import events from different sources. Learn more about it here > https://theeventscalendar.com/product/event-aggregator/

I’m not sure why you are getting that message as I can see that your Event Aggregator license is valid and active for your site.

There is a chance this could have been a glitch caused by a brief downtime on our Event Aggregator servers yesterday.

Please check the Event Aggregator System Status by going to your wp-admin > Events > Help and let me know if it shows any errors.

    Thanks,
    Victor

    Hi Greg!

Thanks for reaching out to us! Let me try to help you with this topic.

I’m not really familiar with the eMember plugin. Actually I’ve never heard of it, so I’m not sure how it works.

You mention it works with WooCommerce. Could you please explain how the plugin works and what you try to achieve? Also, I don’t seem to find the eMember plugin in the WordPress repository. Is this a “premium” plugin only?

Let me know about it and I’d be happy to take a look and help as much possible.

    Hi Joel!

Thanks for getting in touch with us. I’d be happy to help you with that.

There is no built in way to achieve that specific functionality. I guess it is probably achievable but would require custom coding.

I know some users make use of the Name Your Price WooCommerce extension to achieve something similar, but it also requires some custom coding to make it work with Event Tickets Plus.

Let me point you to a thread as reference if you think of giving it a chance > https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/woocommerce-name-your-price-extension-and-events-tickets-plus/

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Hi Cheryl!

Thanks for getting in touch. Let me help you troubleshoot that issue.

I’m not able to see the map either and like you say, there are no console errors showing up.

Is this happening for all other events or just this one?

I see you have tried the following:

    • Deactivated all other plugins? Yes
    • Switched to a default theme? Yes

Did you happen to notice a difference when deactivating all other plugins or switching to a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Seventeen? What happens if you try deactivating all plugins and switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme together? Do you notice a difference then?

    Hi Stephan!

Thanks for getting in touch with us. Let me help you with that.

By default, the View your Tickets page doesn’t show the order status. You could customize the orders-tickets.php template file to also include the order status.

We have a great article that will get you started on how to customize our templates > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Hello Justin!

Just wanted to share with you that a new release for the Event Aggregator server is out including a fix for this issue.

No action is needed on your end as this is all on our server side of things, but as always, we recommend you update to the latest versions of our plugins.

Please try it out and let us know if the fix works for your site.

    Hi Sandra!

Thanks for reaching out to us! Let me help you with that.

You can set up email notifications for when an event is submitted by going to your wp-admin > Events > Settings > Community tab and under Alerts you should enable the Send an email alert when a new event is submitted checkbox.

Below that, you can add the email addresses to be notified.

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have other questions.

    Victor

    Hi Jennifer!

Thanks for getting in touch with us. Let me help you troubleshoot that issue.

I’m not aware of any specific conflict with Divi that would cause that, but it surely looks like a theme or even a plugin conflict with the styles.

Could you please share with us a link to where we can see the issue for ourselves? We’ll have a closer inspection and see if we can find any conflicting styles.

If you are not able to share a link with us, we’ll need you to confirm we are dealing with a theme conflict. So, could you please try switching to a default theme like twenty seventeen and see if it solves the issue? If it doesn’t, please complete the steps provided in our testing for conflicts guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

Also, when coming back, please share with us your system information by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    Thanks,
    Victor
