    Hi again,

Thanks for checking that for me. We looked deeply into this issue with another customer, and didn’t find anything unusual from our side of things. If you enter the feed address in your browser, and look at the file that is downloaded, the events are there. If you manually import that file into Google calendar, the events will show up. In the other case, the feed url was working fine for Outlook and another third party calendar. This appears to be an issue on Google’s end, being able to access that file on certain sites.

To make sure this is all the same in your case, can you try downloading the file from the URL in question, and manually import it into your calendar?

Can you also try running through the troubleshooting steps we recommend here?

Let me know how that goes.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi again,

It looks like this is in the batch of fixes that will be shipping sometime today. Once the maintenance releases are out, can you update and test again?

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I’d be happy to help with your question.

I do not have an example of a site with events in the blog loop that I can point to you. The event will appear like any other post on a site, and so the look will depend completely on the theme.

I did take a screenshot of what this looks like on my test site, using the Twenty Seventeen theme.

    Hope that helps!

    Sky

    Hi there,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues creating tickets. I will try to help you get this sorted.

I have a few questions for you.

Are you clicking save on the ticket and then saving the event as well?

Also, I see that you indicated having gone through the troubleshooting steps. Can you clarify that you tried creating a ticket with the Twenty Seventeen theme enabled and ALL other plugins disabled?

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi there,

Sorry to hear that you’ve experienced so many different issues. I want to reassure you that we will follow up with you on your pending tickets as soon as the issues have been resolved.

The good news is that we will be releasing a maintenance release tomorrow that should take care of most if not all of these problems that you’ve flagged.

Thanks so much for your patience.

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I’d be happy to help with your question.

Unfortunately, it is still too early to provide any kind of timeline for when that feature will be available. Right now, recurring events don’t fully work with tickets. They do support having a single ticket for the entire series, but not for individual events without breaking them from the series.

For now you can generate a series of events, break each off into a standalone event, and create a separate ticket for the event. You could then use a WooCommerce extension to create a “product bundle” that includes the individual tickets.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi Patrick,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately, we do not offer separate prices for our plugins without updates and support. If you’re not sure if the plugins are a good match for your needs, we do have a 30 day refund period on all of our plugins.

Give them a try and see how they work. I think you’ll find that they are worth every penny.

    Hope that helps!

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I’d be happy to help with your question.

I’m not sure if I completely understand what you’re asking. There is no functionality to generate affiliate links.

We did have a feature called “split payments” that allowed organizers to get a percentage of the ticket sales as they were made. However, Paypal discontinued allowing new accounts for this, so it only works for legacy users.

We are working on something similar that would allow you charge organizers up front and set up payments to them from the ticket sales. Unfortunately, this is still a ways off from being available.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi there,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with the author view in the admin. I will try to help you get this sorted.

I was able to recreate this on my end. As soon as you have one event as an author, the rest of the events do not show in the events list under “all.” I would expect that they would show, but you would not be able to edit them if they have a different author.

I created a bug ticket for this, and am attaching this thread to it. As soon as we have a fix available for this issue, we will follow back with you here to let you know.

Thanks for reporting this, and please let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.

    Regards,
    Sky

    Hi again,

    1. Great!
    2. Don’t worry about this. This is for a different product that you don’t have.
    3. “Unable to process this import ..” Can you try changing the setting in Events > Settings > Imports > “Import Process System” from “Asynchronous” to “Cron Based” and see if that allows you to import?

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi again,

I had another similar issue that I was hoping would yield some results, but we were unable to track down the problem on our side.

I see that you are on WP Engine hosting. Can you try something for me? In the WP Engine settings in your WordPress dashboard, can you disable “Object caching,” clear the cache and try to import from the site again?

Let me know if that changes anything.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi again,

I am sorry to hear of your frustration. Please review our Terms of Support page to see what types of things are covered for support. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/

CSS modifications are generally not covered in our support criteria, but I try to help when it will take just as long to explain that it’s not something we can help with. We are experiencing a higher than normal volume of support tickets right now, so I unfortunately have to limit the “above and beyond” assistance in cases like this.

If you would like to see this functionality as part of the plugin, please visit our User Voice forum to make the suggestion. If enough people vote on the idea, it may be considered for future releases.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi again,

Something else just came to my attention. Do you have old scheduled imports for Facebook from before we lost facebook support? If you look in Events > Settings > Imports > Scheduled Imports, do the numbers that show at the top match the imports you can see? Does it show a number for facebook?

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi again,

Thanks for providing that additional data and the link to the other support thread.

That fix will hopefully be released tomorrow, so let’s see if that fixes it for you.

After the maintenance release tomorrow, try updating all of our plugins and see if that fixed things.

    Thanks,

    Hi again,

Glad that snippet worked for you!

As I mentioned in the other support thread, we are limited in how much support we can provide for customizations. To figure out which element to target, just use your browser inspector to view the element, and you can see which current styles need to be overridden.

    Thanks,
    Sky
