    Hi there!

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with your license. I will try to help you get this sorted.

I don’t see any screenshots attached to your post, but I’ll explain the steps to change the site url connected to your licenses.

    * Log in to the events calendar site.
    * On your license keys page, you will see any urls connected to each product’s license.
    * Click the “Disconnect now” link next to the site url on each product.
    * On the WordPress site, make sure all of the plugins are activated.
    * In Events > Settings > Licenses, clear the license information for each product, and click “save changes”
    * Re – enter your license keys for each product.
    * If the license validates, you will see a green notification under each license field.

You should then be able to refresh the license keys page on tec.com and see the new url connect to your licenses.

Make sure that you have made the appropriate changes in WordPress URL settings before doing this.

Let me know if that helps, or if you have any additional questions about the process.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out. I’d be happy to help with your issue.

I’m not sure which stage you are at in the installation process, so I’ll run through the steps.

    1) Download the plugin from https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/
    2) In WordPress > Plugins, click the add new button. Choose the zip file you downloaded.
    3) Before activating Events Calendar Pro, make sure you have the latest version of the Events Calendar installed and activated.
    4) Activate Events Calendar Pro in the Plugin settings .
    5) Once you have activated Pro, you can go to Events > Settings > Licenses, and add your license key in the appropriate field, and “save changes”
    6) If your license key validates, a green notification will show, and the site will be connected to your license allowing for future updates.

Hope that helps! Please let me know if you need clarification on any of those steps.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out. I will try to help with your questions.

You are correct! The QR codes are unique, and trying to scan one that has already been checked in will show a message in the phone app saying so.

Hope that helped! Please let me know if you have additional questions about this.

    Thanks,

    Hi Zack!

Thanks for reaching out! I’d be happy to help with your questions.

While our Events Calendar Pro plugin adds the ability to create Event Series as you describe, the Event Tickets plugin does not fully support these type of events.

To sell tickets to individual events within a series, they would need to be broken off into their own events. You could however, sell tickets for the entire series.

You can read more about how recurring events work, check out this knowledgebase article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/

Hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any further questions about this.

    Thanks,

    Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out. I will try to help with your questions.

While this isn’t something built into the plugin out of the box, it is possible to get this functionality with some custom code. You can check out the following snippet:

    https://gist.github.com/barryhughes/a2b39577136eb1fc96d9eea34c18a4b7#file-single-event-nav-link-to-events-from-same-cat-php

Just place this in your child theme’s functions.php or add to a functionality plugin.

To completely remove or replace these links with something else, you would need to create a custom template. To read more about creating custom templates for our events plugins, check out our Themer’s Guide.

Hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions about this.

    Hi Mischa!

Thanks for reaching out! I’d be happy to answer your question.

Out of the box the Events Calendar does not have any integrations like that. However, if you are using WooCommerce in conjunction with our Events Tickets Plus plugin, there may be WooCommerce integrations available for Active Campaign via Zapier.

Hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Hi again,

Unfortunately, this is not something we would normally do. If you have any other specific questions about the capabilities of our plugins, I’d be happy to answer them here in the Pre Sales forum.

Your best bet may be to give the plugins a try to see for yourself. If they are not going to meet your needs, we’d be happy to refund your money within 30 days of purchase.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi Joanna,

I wasn’t sure if that was your latest system information. Definitely the first step should be to update the plugins to the latest versions.

The other thing you can test is to see if there are any conflicts happening between your theme or any of the plugins you are using with the Events Calendar plugins. You can find more information about that process here, but basically you want to temporarily switch to the Twenty Seventeen theme and disable all non Events plugins. If you are still experiencing the issue in this state, then it may be worth looking into your server setting and resources. Otherwise, you would then enable your theme and plugins one at a time, checking each time to see if the issue has returned. Once you have identified the source of the conflict, we could look more in depth to see if there is anything we can do from our end or not.

If you do not have a staging server to troubleshoot with, you might look into the WP Staging Plugin.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any questions about the troubleshooting steps.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi Mario,

Thanks for reaching out! I will try to help with your questions.

While our plugins can work with WooCommerce, you can also use other options as well.

When you say “all bookings for one event” are you referring to recurring events? Our Events Calendar Pro plugin adds the ability to create complex recurrence patterns for events. You can read more about how that works here.

Once multiple events in a series are created, all events in that series can be viewed as a list. You can see this in action by visiting this page on our demo site.

Using our Event Aggregator service, you can import events from Google Calendar and other sources. While it will import recurring events, please note that it will import them as individual events rather than as a series.

If using our Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus plugins, you can view a list of attendees both in the admin and on the front end if enabled.

All of our plugins come with a 30 day refund period, so feel free to try them out to see if they will meet your needs without worrying about committing to anything.

Hope that helps! Please let me know if you have additional questions.

    Thanks,
    Sky

in reply to: Events not showing in WordPress Categories Widget #1566947

    Hi again Ian!

I’d be happy to help with your question.

Looking at your site, I can see that you are using the default “category widget” on your home page. This will only show regular posts that are assigned categories. The categories for events and posts completely separate taxonomies. However, the “tags” taxonomy is shared between posts and events.

While you can set to show the events in with your posts, this does not actually change the post type, so the post categories will not apply.

I’m not sure why the widget is showing the number of posts next to the categories when there are not actually any posts. This may have to do with how your theme handles things.

Unfortunately, there is not an events category widget available. If there are not a lot of categories, you could create this manually using either an HTML widget, or a custom menu widget. If you need these categories to be dynamic, that may not be a good solution.

You might also check out this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-widgets/ which includes a custom post type category widget.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any further questions about this.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I’d be happy to help with your question.

To customize the email that is sent out, you can copy the email template into your child theme and make modifications as needed. To do this make a copy of event-tickets/src/views/tickets/email.php and place that copy in [your-theme]/tribe-events/tickets/email.php

For more detailed information about customizing event templates, check out our Themer’s Guide.

Hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions about this.

    Thanks,

    Hi Joanna,

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your site. I will try to help you get this sorted.

Can you please share your current system information with me?

Also, if you are not using the latest versions of our plugins, can you try updating them to see if this has any effect?

If that doesn’t change things, can you try enabling WP Debug and WP Log in your WP Config file? You can find information about this here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress. Once enabled, try adding a test recurring event.

Afterwards, there should be a file named debug.log in your wp-content directory. Can you share the contents of that file with me here? If it is very long, can you please upload to a sharing service like dropbox or similar if possible?

    Thanks,
    Sky
