ParticipantHey Karl,
Thanks for posting, & Iβm happy to help. π
Unfortunately, this kind of request would require some customization that we can’t provide on these forums. These forums are intended to troubleshoot issues and field bug reports with our plugins as configured with the latest version of WordPress, WordPress default themes, and our suite of plugins with their out of the box features.
However, we do have some resources for making changes yourselfΒ here. If you need to find someone to help with the customizations, we also have some tips for finding freelancers and other helpΒ here.
Hope this helps, and thanks for understanding!
Best,
Shelby π

ParticipantHi David,
I’m not quite sure if I understand.
If you created these Facebook events, you would have been the one that put the link into the event details in the first place, and you can just link that to your website’s event listing or Eventbrite, or anywhere else you choose.
Let me know if this is helpful!

August 21, 2017 at 2:23 pm in reply to: Two Issues – Meta date format + calendar title jumping #1338282Shelby
ParticipantHey Lindsey,
Alright, onto more specific advice π
So what you would need to do is to create a new custom date function, and replace the “tribe-events-schedule” function with your new custom function in a copy of your “tribe-single-events.php” file, which you should follow the steps in our Themer’s Guide for replicating this file within your theme (so your changes won’t be overwritten with updates).
If you need further help with creating this function, that is beyond the kind of support that we offer here on the forums, so you’d need to hire a freelancer to help out. We have a list of freelancers here that you can reach out to. π
Best,
Shelby π

ParticipantHey again Matthew,
Just to confirm, did you copy it as directed in this section of the Themer’s guide?
- Copy /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/list/single-event.php to /your-theme/tribe-events/list/single-event.php (replace /your-theme with the actual folder name of your theme, of course)
- Edit /your-theme/tribe-events/list/single-event.php and add the following code underneath the venue details:
If not, please do so. If so, can you please send me a link so I can inspect the code on your site?
Let me know!
Cheers,
Shelby π

ParticipantHey Luke,
I understand what you’re trying to do, and I was afraid this might happen!
In this case, it looks like we’d have to re-write the whole (or a large portion of the) function to serve this purpose, which is beyond the scope of the support we provide here.Β We use this forum to support issues with our plugins out of the box, as configured with the latest version of WordPress, WordPress default themes, and the rest of our plugin suite.
I was hoping that I could help you out with some simple tweaks to this function that you posted, but unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case. You may be able to hire a freelancer to help out with customizing this function to suit your needs. We have some freelancers and resources you can use here.
Best of luck with your project! Iβll leave this open in case any other users who might be working on this kind of a customization as well, are able to provide you with any tips. Thanks for understanding & let us know should you have any questions in the future!
Best,
Shelby ?

ParticipantHey Geet,
Thanks for sharing some extra details with me! π
Could you possibly share with me the exact error message that you’ve gotten from Google?
Also, the following threads might be helpful to check out in the meantime π :

ParticipantHey Luke,
My apologies. Apparently my last reply didn’t post. π
As always, back up your files before you change anything, but you’ll want to remove the following line from the bit of code that you shared with me:
add_filter( 'tribe_tickets_buy_button', '__return_empty_string' );
Let me know how that goes, and if you need any further help with this!
Best,

ParticipantHey there Stephan,
Thanks for reaching out, I’m happy to help. π
I’ve checked into the issue report we have open for this, and it’s currently assigned to one of our staff members, but the release for this is TBD. I will associate this thread with the issue, and mark the ticket pending fix, so that you’ll receive updates as we make progress!
Take care,
Shelby π

ParticipantHi Chris,
I’m happy to help π
I would suggest just reducing the ticket stock in this situation. I assume you plan to do this manually? That is really the only way I can think of to do what you’re describing. If you don’t think this will work or I’ve misunderstood, please let me know. π

ParticipantHey Joanna,
Thanks for reaching out. π Hopefully this quick fix will work for you:
Try installing this cleanup utility (plugin) below, with the following instructions:
So please go ahead and install the clean up plugin. Once thatβs activated navigate toΒ Events > Settings > GeneralΒ and find theΒ Duplicate Recurring EventsΒ button. Cleanup takes a long time and its possible youβll need to re-run it if things time out on your site, but it should work (it did for us running against your db).
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Shelby π

ParticipantHi Jennifer,
I’d be happy to help you out with this today, & to clarify!
While our plugins are WooCommerce compatible, they’re not guaranteed to work with their whole suite of plugins the way that they work on normal products. If you need our plugins to allow users to pay a deposit amount, you’ll need to hire a freelancer to hook in that functionality. π
We have a list of places to find help like that here. π
Please let me know if you need anything else on this one!
Best,
Shelby π

ParticipantHey there Geet,
Thanks for reaching out, I’m happy to help! π
Could you take a look at the documentation here and work through it, then let me know if it helps out at all? We’ll work on this from there if you still have a lot of errors! π
Let me know!
Take care,
