Unfortunately, this kind of request would require some customization that we can’t provide on these forums. However, we do have some resources for guidance doing that here. If you need to find someone to help with the customizations, we also have some tips for finding help here.
Hope this helps, and thanks for understanding!

ParticipantHi Brett,
It’s definitely possible. Here are some steps you can take to find out what’s causing the issue:
-You can perform this conflict testing that we have documented here to see if our plugins are causing conflicts
-Second, you can turn on debugging in WordPress and see what errors are generated.
Please let me know the results of this, and we’ll go from there! π

ParticipantHi Doron,
Can you please upgrade to the latest version of WordPress and let me know if the issue still persists? Secondly, can you please turn on WordPress Debugging and let me know about any errors it reveals? π
Thanks,
Shelby π

So I just read back through your messages and looked at the site again, and, if I understand correctly, it seems like you’ve resolved this? Is that accurate? π

ParticipantHi Miah,
You’ll actually be following the same steps (turning on debugging) that I just recommended in your other thread to try and pinpoint the problem here. π
Let me know how that goes!

ParticipantHi Miah,
I’m still unable to replicate this, so next steps:
-Can you please make sure you’re up to date on our plugins and on the latest WordPress update?
-After that, please turn on debugging and let me know about any errors you uncover. π
Let me know if you need any clarification on this or have follow up questions here!

ParticipantHi again Doyle,
Apologies for the delayed response here, I really appreciate your patience in this matter. π
So, let’s explore some more possible options with this one. Can you look into some of the performance considerations that we have outlined here? In the meantime, I’m also going to be reaching out to one of my team mates that has a bit of a specialtyΒ in performance matters like this one. π
Please let me know how working through that goes!
Best,

ParticipantHi Again,
Apologies on my delayed response here. I appreciate your patience, as I’ve had some unexpected road blocks over the last several days!
I will be doing some more extensive testing on this issue with Divi on my testing environment tomorrow and I will update you once I’ve had a chance to try everything out myself. π
Cheers,

ParticipantHi Alex,
Apologies for the delayed response here, I really appreciate your patience! π I’ll be responding inline to your inquires below to make sure I don’t miss anything:
1. If I chose a Main-Categorie some Sub-Categories are showing up. How can I bring the Sub-Categories into alphabetical order?
When you say if you “choose” a main Category, where are you “choosing” this from? Are you selecting sub-categories in the Filter Bar? And where do the sub categories show up exactly that you want to order alphabetically? I just need a bit more detail to help you out here. π
2. Is it possible to show on the Main-Categories which Sub-Categories were selected by the user? Not only in the Sub-Categories per selection hook.
I also need a bit more clarity here. I’m not sure exactly how you’d like to to “show” things.
3. I have two sub-categories which are not in the categories at the backend and nowwhere else on the website. Did you ever have such a problem? I want to delete the sub-categories but I can not find them.
This is a very odd problem indeed, I’ve never heard of this! Are these categories that you’ve had on your site before or tags perhaps?
Let me know about these things, and we’ll move from there. π
Best,

ParticipantHi Mark,
Did you implement the caching techniques suggested in the documentation I shared with you? I’ll also be reaching out to one of my teammates that particularly enjoys performance puzzles such as this one for some of his insights on this matter. π

ParticipantHi Doron,
I’m not able to replicate this issue in my testing environment with Twenty-Seventeen activated and just our plugins. Could you possibly follow these instructions to share your system information with me so that I can figure out where the discrepancies in our configurations are?
Thanks, and let me know if you need clarification or guidance on this.
Best,
Shelby π
