ParticipantHi,
We are using the Events Calendar pro. We reported a timing issue earlier that was flagged as a bug by your team related to DST.
Our editors are reporting that there is an issue with event time being hours off – for recurring events. We need help on this ASAP. Here is the description from our editor. Please advise how to fix this and whether you need more info.
Issue Description from our Editor
—————————–
This issue is not DST related or timezone related as far as I can tell. When I create an event and add multiple recurring events, if I create all the recurring events for with the option “at the same time” they seem to display correctly on the weekly calendar.
When I add multiple events with the “at a different time” option, the events that are at a different time display at the wrong time – 4 hours after the event time that I specified.
This seems to be happening on all views and when members mouseover or view the event, the event time is displayed as the wrong time 4 hours later. Only when you click into the admin side (Edit Event) can you see the correct time specified.
————————–Thanks.

ParticipantHi Paul,
Thanks for reaching out, I’m happy to help you here! 🙂
A couple things:
- Can you link me to your previous thread please?
- Can you confirm that your time zone settings are in line with this documentation? 🙂
Let me know about those and we’ll get this worked out!
Best,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantHey Paul,
Thanks for confirming this information for me. In order to help, I would like to get some more information from you, if I can:
-First, if you could please test for conflicts by following this documentation? Let me know what you find. This will help me determine how deeply we need to look into the specific configuration of your site, or if this is a bug. 🙂
-Can you send me a link to a recurring event series on your site so I can see this firsthand? I can often be more helpful in giving solutions to problems I can see and interact with.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Paul,
I’ll be taking a look at your site and the screenshots today. Can you also perform that conflict testing on your end please? I can’t provide full support without that.
Thanks,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantShelby,
Here are the results from the Conflict Test. We enabled the WP native 2016 Theme, disables all plugins except Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro. The issue seem to be occurring with no difference in behavior after the above change.
The repeat events (after the 1st one) are still 4 hours off.
I have included some screenshots to show this. Please let me know if there is something else you need from us. Also, keep in mind that the credentials we gave you is our private TEST website. You can do your own tests or changes as you need to test any areas relating to this issue.
Thanks,
MiahJune 14, 2017 at 5:45 pm #1298195Shelby
ParticipantHi Miah,
I’m still unable to replicate this, so next steps:
-Can you please make sure you’re up to date on our plugins and on the latest WordPress update?
-After that, please turn on debugging and let me know about any errors you uncover. 🙂
Let me know if you need any clarification on this or have follow up questions here!
Best,
Shelby 🙂

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
