MemberThanks Andy. I’ve subscribed to the feed you provided here in iCal; and I am seeing that, for example, the December 21 Scout Meeting that shows on the calendar page is not appearing in my iCal feed. If I understand what you’re saying correctly – if you were to go into that 12/21 entry on the backend and re-update it (without making any changes), it’d appear on the iCal feed from there?
Just want to double check. Could you go ahead and do that, if it’s the case? I’ll be able to get a dev to take a look from there, since this is a bizarre issue that I’ve not seen before. Thanks!

MemberExcellent to hear you got this figured out, Greg. If anything else comes up as you use the plugin going forward, we’ll be here to address it.
Rob
MemberThe best I can do on this is offer up the Role Scoper dev a copy of this plugin, and any answers to questions he may have on his end, should be wish to work for smoother integration on his side.
On our end, I know that for the 2.1 release we’re adding a default role when registering our custom post types, so that may fix the issue for you right off the bat. Might be wise to – if you can wait – hold off until 2.1 comes in January to see it this issue becomes a moot point.

MemberHey Marie-Michele, thanks for the words 🙂 Sorry to hear you’re having issues. On the first bug: is your theme configured in such a way that it has different sidebars for the single events versus the regular home page / main events page? Have you tried using one of the other templates available using the dropdown in Settings –> The Events Calendar? We can try to help you out with this from there.
At this point, adding the previous/next month links to the calendar widget is something you’d have to hack together (as that functionality is not available out of the box). We intentionally designed that calendar plugin as a lightweight, bare bones solution…though that may change in a future release. Hopefully this article will help you if you do attempt to customize: https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-completely-customize-widgets/.
Rob
MemberHey Terrance. If you post suggestions to our existing feature requests thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-pro-feature-requests/), they’ll all be brought to the table when we meet as a team to discuss future releases. Fire away!

MemberWe’re still putting together our tutorial on the subject but got derailed due to the bugs that came up in 2.0.2. If Sean can confirm anything on his end, that may give us a workaround in the interim. But this is still in the works on our end and will certainly be up on the site by the end of the month.
Rob
MemberYeah, the worst case scenario would work but is definitely less than ideal. Why don’t you let me know after the deactivation process whether you’ve identified it as a conflict, then set me up with an admin account (you can email it to rob at tri.be) and I can give it a go myself?
Rob
MemberNo worries at all 🙂 Glad to see you got this figured out. Let me know if anything else comes up.
Rob
MemberHey Jesus. Adding a folder would be something you’d do outside of the WP backend; generally I always do it using my FTP client. Totally independent of the WP admin page though.
Rob
MemberHey Albert. Alright, your last post confused me – the upbeat attitude suggested we were clear here 🙂
So I’m assuming that the posts like http://fdmed.org/semana-del-12-al-18-de-diciembre/ are supposed to be events, right? If so there’s definitely a permalinks issue here, because the URL for that event listing (which does yield an error page for me) is not compliant with the standard calendar URL structure.
What does your Settings –> The Events Calendar page show as being the “events calendar slug”? Please also confirm that you’ve tried deactivating other plugins, and reverting to the 2011 theme as needed, to check whether this is a conflict with your theme or another plugin. Thanks!
Rob
MemberHey Robert. Sorry to hear you’re having issues; I can see the problem there. Can you confirm that this wasn’t an issue in 2.0.1? Does it happen when you deactivate PRO and just rely on free, or is it a PRO-exclusive issue? Once we can confirm whether it’s a bug and where that bug resides, we’ll aim to get it patched for an upcoming release. Thanks!
Rob
MemberHey Christoph! Thanks for the note here, and welcome to the forum. We’d be happy to try and assist you here. This one is beyond my area of expertise, but I’ve asked our developer Jonah to comment directly with any suggestions he may have. You can expect to hear from him today.
Rob
MemberAh, the infamous “1970” permalinks issue. Had a few people reporting this the past few days and it’s something we’re working to eliminate from happening entirely for the 2.1 release. But let’s see if we can get it functional for you in the interim (we’re usually able to).
First: have you resaved your permalinks page recently? That’d be my suggestion right off the bat. Then, can you confirm the permalinks structure you’re using? There have been some issues with non-pretty permalinks, so if you switched to a pretty structure (ie /%postname%/) it may resolve the issue.
If neither of those do the trick, is it possible you’ve got another plugin conflicting (possibly either a calendaring plugin or one that alters/changes URL structures at all)? Would be awesome if you had the ability to try deactivating other plugins to test for a conflict.
Let me know about the above, and we can keep looking into this for you.
Rob
MemberThanks for the suggestion, Seth. I know that tribe_get_start_date() for recurring is in the works, but not sure about your second suggestion…it’s probably worth working in too, though. Let me review this with the team when we next meet to discuss 2.1 releases and we can get it in the system from there (assuming there are no conflicts or reasons not to). Most appreciated!
Rob
MemberHey Albert. Awesome! Looks like you got this nailed down; so I assume we’re all set? Let me know if not. Otherwise, feel free to report anything else that comes up going forward!
