Hey Dave. I’ve been testing this on a default 2011 install and it’s working fine; I was able to create & continually update recurring events (adding categories & changing the end time in the process).
On your site, though, it took me a long time just to get the recurring event published in the first place – the same AJAX loader issue occurred where it hung for a while. But, it ultimately published. I did recreate the editing problem too – for me it would hang a long time and ultimately nothing happened.
My guess is this is a conflict with another plugin or your theme, given the fact that this isn’t happening on my generic test install. I see you have a lot of other plugins active here. Have you tried deactivating other plugins one-by-one to see if the issue persists?

RobMemberHa! Thanks for spotting that; definitely a fail on our end. I’m shocked nobody’s caught it yet 🙂 Filed this as a request with the dev team to get patched up for 2.0.2.
RobMemberHi Cindy. Great to hear that solution fixed your problem with the header; weird that I was unable to recreate that, but it looks like we’re set here so that’s what I’ll direct other users who have the same problem to do as well.
You’re saying you just want to have the calendar view itself not show sidebars, but the individual listing keep showing them?
RobMemberHi Cindy. Always happy to help. If you could get me admin credentials, it’d be great – you can of course delete those when we are finished testing but I’d like to make sure we’re covering/checking everything we can to try and get this resolved.
October 19, 2011 at 4:19 pm in reply to: Calendar widget only displays events for current date #9916RobMemberThanks for the report, Bill. You have indeed found a bug – I’m able to recreate this on my end as well. We’ll make sure to get it patched for the 2.0.1 release, which we’re aiming to push out late this week. Apologies for the inconvenience in the interim and thanks for reporting this.
RobMemberJacob, have you checked as to whether there are any blank spaces before or after the code? It should start & end with a number and have no empty spaces at all.
Let me know if that’s potentially your issue; if not, shoot me a note (rob at tri.be) with some backend creds and I can take a look. Doing this on a staging IP shouldn’t matter at this point.
RobMemberSure thing Andrew. That’s a bit outside my area of expertise too, but I’ve got our developer taking a look at this and should be able to get you a response shortly. Stay tuned.
October 19, 2011 at 4:07 pm in reply to: BUGS: Recurring Events causes rampant duplication; calendar showing wrong month #9912RobMemberExcellent to hear! Glad to see you got this worked out. If anything else arises going forward, just holler.
RobMemberThat is awesome! Thanks for sharing, Tryon. This will come in handy as other users come with similar questions and I’ve filed it as an issue for our team to address in a future 2.x build. Thanks man.
RobMemberHi Cindy. Sure! Why not email me the details (along with backend access, if you can) and I can try and figure this one out? Maybe if we’re lucky I can knock a few off the list 🙂 My email is rob at tri.be.
RobMemberThanks for the report – sorry to hear you’re having problems. The good news is that this doesn’t look like a bug, since I’m still seeing the tooltips on my end…which means this one is isolated to your site. I’ve passed this on to our developer so he can confirm whether you need to declare & targe the links, as noted. Will get you a response as soon as possible.
RobMemberAndrew, what about the iCal link that appears on the settings page? Would that do the trick?
RobMemberI can confirm, all, that this has been done & works like a charm in the 2.0.1 code. Should be launching just as soon as we squash these last few bugs…stay tuned!
RobMemberHi Moif. I believe I sent you an email on this earlier today, but just to follow-up….you are correct regarding how the event list operates. It shows today’s events and as many in the future as it can while still conforming to your post limit per page.
Out of the box, single day view just displays all the events on a given day from within the calendar…there’s no standard link for single event view that changes every day to just display that day’s events. However you could likely hack something along those lines together.
Hope that helps! Please let me know if this is confusing or if you have any other questions.
