MemberToday I was showing my client how to enter a new event. That was fine. I was logged in as the client (with administrator privileges). When I went to add the new event to the pulldown menu, there were no Event, Venue, etc. choices in the MENUS section.
I logged out as the client. Logged back in as me and all of the options were available.
I am not going to maintain their site. Is it possible to transfer the ownership (or something) so that the client has full access?

MemberHey Karen. Thanks for the note, and sorry to hear you’re having issues. All you would need to do to transfer access – in theory – would be to give them the license key & make sure they renewed it when the year was up. This issue shouldn’t be specific to the owner of the site.
Are you and the user both the same level of “Admin”? Is it possible that there’s another plugin conflicting here? Would be helpful it you had the ability to deactivate plugins one-by-one, but let me know if the site isn’t in a position where that’s possible.

MemberThanks, Rob. There is only one level of administrator for the site, so that is not what’s going on.
The site is active, although not high traffic. I will try deactivating plugins this weekend when it is slower. Worst case scenario the client can log in as me, but my preference is to get the issue fixed. I will post again, either way.

MemberYeah, the worst case scenario would work but is definitely less than ideal. Why don’t you let me know after the deactivation process whether you’ve identified it as a conflict, then set me up with an admin account (you can email it to rob at tri.be) and I can give it a go myself?

MemberHi Rob,
Thanks so much for your offer of help, however the host for this site is very clear that he does not want anyone else to be given admin privileges.
Today I deactivated/reactivated only a few plug-ins as I need to keep most of them. No change with the issue. The issue may be specific to the theme – I don’t know. Looks like we will have to go with the client logging in as me.
Again, thanks so much for your speedy responses. Happy Holidays!

MemberHey Karen. Thanks for the confirmation. If the client isn’t willing to give up a set of credentials there probably isn’t much we can do on our end, unfortunately. Sounds like the logging-in-as-you method will be best given that.
If it is specific to theme, you could definitely test by setting up a local install on the default 2011 theme and install the plugin from there – let me know if you find yourself in that position. Similarly, feel free to post any other issues you have on here. Sorry I couldn’t offer up more on this.
Happy Holidays yourself!
