MemberAwesome. Cool to see that they’re responding to you so quickly. I’ll keep an eye on the thread.
Rob
MemberExcellent. So it sounds like now that you’re getting the hang of how to use the plugin, management options are becoming apparent to you. Need anything else from us at this time? Let me know if so…otherwise feel free to reach out if you need anything else down the road.

MemberThanks for pointing Eric in the right direction here, Andy. I’ve asked the devs to take a look at that 2.0/2.0.3 discrepancy to see what we changed in 2.0.3.
I can also confirm, Andy, that the link now works again – so I’ve got our dev Joey taking a look at that too, so he can hopefully point you in the right direction. Stay tuned.
January 17, 2012 at 5:24 pm in reply to: The Events Calendar/Events Calendar PRO 2.0.3 Is Live #13544Rob
MemberHey Sean. Thanks for the heads up. I’m unable to recreate this on my end; is it possible you’re running the two plugins out of sync (ie Events Calendar on 2.0.2 but PRO on 2.0.3)? And, have you checked whether another plugin could be conflicting here?
Let me know and I can keep looking into it as needed from there.
Rob
MemberThanks for the suggestion, Matthew. The template override procedure is detailed (admittedly vaguely) in our FAQ (first section under “Customization”): https://theeventscalendar.com/support/faqs. Were you looking for something more detailed than that?
Rob
MemberMatthew: good call. Had a few requests for this so it’ll likely make it into an upcoming release shortly here.
Todd: Roger on the duplicate events vote. That one seems to be a consistent request among users…

MemberHi there Kristen. By default the calendar lives at /events; on your site, I found it at http://kristenyoga.com/events. You do have the ability to control where the calendar “lives” under Settings -> The Events Calendar, though.
If you wanted to add the calendar to your header menu from there, just go to Appearance -> Menus and you should see a number of events-related options. Add the one you deem appropriate to the correct location, save, and you should be all set.
I hope that helps. If you need anything else or have any other questions, do let me know.
Rob
MemberHey Christopher. Thanks for the note. It sounds like if I understand what you’re trying to do correctly here, you should be able to accomplish this via the custom fields functionality. Have you checked out how to add these on the Settings -> The Events Calendar page, and seeing how they display upon publication? That sounds like it’s right up your alley but let me know if you’re seeking something more.
As an aside, what’s your site? I work for a food truck here in California when I’m not working for the Modern Tribe, would be cool to see what you’re working on.
Rob
MemberHi Megan/Jared. Were all those events actually configured by a user? It’s possible (and likely) that some were recurring events that were configured to go continually for X amount of weeks/months/years. You should be able to delete them en mass as needed from the broader Events list on the backend.
That help, or were you looking for something more specific? Let me know.
January 17, 2012 at 5:09 pm in reply to: Updating Button keeps spinning… not new publishing either #13537Rob
MemberThanks for the report, Sam. Weirdly I was unable to recreate this following your steps – but I may not have used the same criteria you did. Still, even upon auto-save I was able to make changes, publish, then come back and make/save further changes from there.
Any chance you can provide the exact criteria you’ve used to test this, so I could follow it to a tee and see what happens then?
Rob
MemberGreat to hear, Beth. So it sounds like you’re cool waiting until the release in which this gets resolved, right? (Correct me if I’m wrong there). Otherwise feel free to reach out if you need anything else.
January 17, 2012 at 4:53 pm in reply to: Calling a list of Events outside of WordPress directory #13535Rob
MemberHey David. Thanks for the note; glad to hear you got that figured out.
Appreciate the feedback on the forum, too. This is certainly phase 1 of the forum’s life cycle so it’ll be changing down the road. But to find your own posts, the easiest method I’ve found is just clicking on your name from within a thread. It should show your headshot/bio followed by a list of everything you’ve posted. IE: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/users/supakat111/.
Hope that helps! Let us know what else we can do.
January 17, 2012 at 4:51 pm in reply to: How to add an event that repeats on the 1st and 3st Thursday of each month? #13534Rob
MemberHey Todd. Thanks for the note; this isn’t currently possible without “faking” it, from the looks of things; but just yesterday another user reported this very same thing and so we’re going to add such functionality in a 2.1 or later release. I’ve added this to our open ticket on the item so we know to make sure that events meeting the criteria you’ve suggested are doable. Apologies for the inconvenience in the interim.
Rob
MemberThanks for confirming, Jason – I believe this gives us what we need to know. We’re obviously still looking into it but will keep you posted as to what we hear back.
