Rob
MemberThanks guys! Just a heads up that this has been updated per Trevor’s note.
Rob
MemberHi Kylie. Thanks for the follow-up; it definitely sounds like there’s a conflict of some kind going on here, as 2 of the 3 issues you’re noting there (the first two) haven’t come up at all yet, and the third should be UTC specific. Any chance you’re in an environment where you can test whether deactivation of other plugins (or your theme, if necessary) is possible? Let me know if not.
Rob
MemberRalph: it sounds like on the overview front, what you’re looking for is more along the lines of our Conference Manager add-on. That’s still in early stages; we just shared the early comps on Twitter yesterday: https://twitter.com/#!/justlikeair/status/161945051042299904. On your other issue: that location/organizer bug is a weird one that’s still impacting some users in 2.0.3, but it’s a moot point in PRO…PRO saves it’s venue/organizer data so they’re stored as separate entries and the disappear problem shouldn’t occur. (If you find it does, you can always reach out to me for a refund and I’ll process you one).
rePlay: thanks for confirming. My guess is you’d have the same experience you’re having with free in PRO. You’re welcome to give it a shot and I can get you a refund if it doesn’t work, but I’m pretty certain it won’t. We’re changing our templating structure for the 2.1 release which may help there…but no guarantees, since it’s near impossible to make the plugin play nicely with everything else out there. Apologies that I couldn’t offer up more here.
Let me know if you guys have any other questions.

MemberHey Sean. Thanks for the follow-up. That’s odd; glad to see you figured out the conflict. I’ve downloaded WP Socializer on my end so we can do some testing against it for the 2.1 release. No guarantees (since we obviously can’t make the plugin play nicely with everything else out there), but we’ll see if we can identify anything that may be conflicting to ease smoother integration overall.
Sorry I couldn’t offer up more here. If you are posting similarly on their forums, feel free to let their dev folks know I’d be happy to comp them a copy of PRO if they wanted it for testing purposes on their end.

MemberThat’s a great use for the plugin, vividimage – haven’t seen it put to the task on an auction site yet but you’ve done it with ease. Buttons directing users into the catalogue & brochure straight from the list view is a great touch. Thanks for sharing!
Rob
MemberThanks for confirming, Brian – glad to see you got this one figured out too. We’re trying to make the plugin integrate smoother with Gantry for 2.1 so hopefully something more official will come along (on our end at least) once that hits the masses.
This should serve nicely for anyone who has a similar issue in the interim, though. Appreciate the heads up.

MemberThanks a lot, Steve! You rule.
Dave: Let us know if that doesn’t do the trick.
Rob
MemberThanks guys. I spoke to the dev team about this today and we all agreed it’s a great touch; appreciate the feedback so far. We’re going to add this into the code for the 2.1 lifecycle so you can expect a feature along these lines coming your way soon. Do let me know if you have any other thoughts or issues too.
Rob
MemberAh, perfect! No worries at all…glad to see you got that figured out 🙂 If anything else arises in the future, feel free to let me know and we’ll do what we can to assist.
Rob
MemberAh, gotcha. That makes sense – good call. Going to get that one logged to resolve too, since it can’t be hard to fix and I always hate it when sites have that limitation. Thanks for the heads up.
Rob
MemberHey Mike. Don’t think I ever saw your email come through…did you send it? Feel free to let me know your email and I can reach out that way 🙂
Rob
MemberDefinitely makes sense…this is something that we’ve had a few requests for, and so we’re going to be evaluating it for sometime in the 2.1 release. It should be doable but we aren’t currently set up to easily enable it. It’s a solid suggestion and one I’d ask you post in the “Feature Request” thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-pro-feature-requests/), which we use as a gauge for seeing what users want most as we plan future builds. Sorry I couldn’t offer up a substantive solution in the interim though.

MemberThanks Marc. Since we’ve had a few emails/forums going back and forth; are we still looking into this one, or has it been resolved? I still have your email but just want to confirm this is still a problem before jumping back into it 🙂
Rob
MemberHey Sam. Just wanted to say that I talked with the dev on this. It was just an issue with the plugin version being wrong in the plugin file. There are 3 aspects to versioning a WP.org plugin and we’d forgotten one. Should be fixed now.
Thanks again for the heads up.
Rob
MemberHi Irene. Thanks for sharing that. We’d love to take a look at the code you’re using here; even if we don’t use it directly, it could point us in the right direction for incorporation down the road. I appreciate the offer 🙂 If you don’t want to post here, feel free to email (rob at tri.be). Cheers!
