MemberHi Steven. Thanks for the note here; I just tested this on my end too and it does look to be a bug. Thanks for pointing it out…we’ll make sure this gets patched in the 2.1 release to avoid further inconvenience.
Rob
MemberThanks for the heads up, madfatter. We cut off support for the 2.0 release at IE8 (and didn’t test against anything before then), so I’m glad you have a solution for users with any IE7 display bugs – of which there certainly may be a few.
Let us know if you need anything else, and thanks again for sharing.
Rob
MemberAwesome 🙂 Just wanted to verify. Thanks, I’ll respond in an “official” capacity over there.
Rob
MemberHey Marc: is this the same thing as the issue I’d just responded to (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/missing-argument-2/)? Want to make sure there aren’t differences between the two; if there are let me know and we’ll take a look here too.
Rob
MemberHey Marc: weirdly I’m unable to recreate this issue, but I do see it happening on your site. I’m going to need to get a dev to take a look and share their thoughts as to the cause of that error message (and why it’d carry over to both the listing and the iCal entry). I’ve asked our dev Jonah to take a look here and chime in directly with his thoughts.
Rob
MemberThanks Meghan. I see the issue now; shouldn’t be too hard to point you in the right direction here. Let me get our dev Jonah to chime in directly.
Rob
MemberHey folks. Just a heads up that, thanks to Maeda’s help, Jonah and I put together a blog post on how to hide your events from unregistered users. Check it out here: https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-hide-events-from-unregistered-users/.
Thanks again, Maeda!

MemberHey again dudes. Just wanted to follow-up on this one; while we’re having trouble identifying what exactly is the cause of this, I have tested it in the current 2.1 beta code (the code that started out as 2.0.3 and will eventually be released as 2.1) and it seems to be resolved there. If either of you want to give it a go to see if it fixes your issue and serves as a temporary stopgap until the official release, feel free to shoot me an email (rob at tri.be) and I can send that your way.
Rob
MemberMarc, Seppe: Thanks for the feedback. This is great stuff and is helping shape the future of the plugin. You guys have both given solid suggestions and we appreciate you taking the time to do so. Cheers!
Rob
MemberHey Meghan. We can try to help you out here, totally. Would you mind posting a link first, though, so we can see what’s up?

MemberNot a prob, Marc – I think I know what to do with it but since I’m not positive (and don’t want to send you down the wrong path), let me get Jonah to take a look and confirm directly when he hits the forum today.
Rob
MemberThanks for the note, Seppe – I can see the problem here on your link. That’s an interesting issue and not one that has crossed our paths yet. Let me see if our dev Jonah has any suggestions to push you in the right direction here. I’ll get him to chime in directly.
Rob
MemberHey Stefan. Thanks for confirming. It sounds like for the first problem you’ve noted here of the inability to save, you may be having the same problem as the users in this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/updating-button-keeps-spinning-not-new-publishing-either/. Is that possible? If so, would you mind keeping the discussion going over there so everything is tracked in one place?
On the second issue: sounds like the easiest thing to do would be to try the different templating approaches from the dropdown on Settings -> The Events Calendar. Do any of those fit your needs? If not it’d probably be wise to do a template override – and I can try to guide you on that front as needed.

MemberThis is great; thanks for sharing Joe. Hopefully the workaround you’ve suggested here can tide people over until we (fingers crossed) have an overall smoother integration process in 2.1.
Rob
MemberExcellent to hear. Was mostly making sure it hadn’t gotten lost in the void (or a spam filter). Take your time.
