Hey Stefan. Thanks for the follow-up. I’m not sure I understand the issue at this time – has it been resolved by the item you posted in another forum a few minutes back (re: the update not working), or does a problem still persist? Can you elaborate a bit if so? Apologies for the inconvenience.

Hey Jason. You can totally edit the single event view. (You can edit a number of the .php files, in fact…check our FAQ on the template override procedure: https://theeventscalendar.com/?qa_faqs=what-are-template-overrides-and-how-do-i-do-them). As that question notes, if you copy over the .php file(s) to a new “events” folder in your theme directory, you can make modifications there that won’t be overwritten when you next update.

Hope that helps. If I’ve misinterpreted the request here, let me know and I can adjust my response as needed.

Ah, excellent to hear the new code resolved this for you Stefan. Any of the other users on this thread: you guys willing to give this re-download approach a go? We did apply a hotfix to the calendar a few days back that, while seemingly unrelated, appears to have solved Stefan’s issue so may work for you guys too.

Excellent to see you got this figured out, Andrzej 🙂 This thread will certainly be useful for other users who have a similar request down the road. Let us know if we can do anything else for you.

Hey Brad. What exactly are you trying to do here? Have grid view as the default for when someone visits /events, but list view for all category pages?

Hey Haavard. Thanks for the note. Not sure about that; we’ll try and point you in the right direction on this, but no guarantees since it sounds like what you’ve done here is fairly customized to begin with. While I’m not sure what may be causing this, let me see if Jonah can help you out.

Thanks for the heads up, Kylie. It definitely sounds like the problem here is the Wish List Member plugin. While it’s obviously impossible for us to make sure the plugin works alongside everything else out there, we are taking the names of those plugins that we know are causing conflicts and testing against them to see what we can do for 2.1. No guarantees, but we’re doing what we can. Would you be willing to provide us with that plugin, so we can test against it in a local (non-live) environment?

It looks like on the time zone front: if I review your second screenshot, it does seem like even the Brisbane change is still in UTC time. Am I reading that correctly? If so, that’s part of the broader known issue we’re working on now for 2.1.

Hey Marc. That’s an odd issue. Would you be willing to try out the current 2.1 beta code (somewhere between the already-released 2.0.3 and the soon-to-be-released 2.1), to see if it fixes the issue there? That’s one that I suspect is a localized conflict (rather than a bug in the code) based on the fact that it hasn’t really come up at all so far…but the new code would be an easy place to start. Let me know.

Hi Pam. Thanks for the note here; sorry to hear that you’re having issues. This is the first I’ve heard of this problem so let me see if our dev Jonah has any suggestions. One thing I’d suggest right off the bat: deactivate any other plugins you’ve got active to see if the issue persists. It’s very possible that this is a conflict with another plugin so if you’re in an environment where you can deactivate, please let us know if that fixes things. Otherwise Jonah can take a look.

Just a heads up that we’ve hotfixed this and wrote a blog post on it with instructions for rectifying: https://theeventscalendar.com/fix-deployed-for-broken-webcal-import-in-2-0-3/. Users installing the plugin fresh won’t be impacted by this; those who already had it installed should re-download. The issue should be set in the new code.

Thanks for being patient, and do let us know if you need anything else or have problems on this front.

Hi Dan. I’ve asked our dev Jonah to take a look here and see if he can offer up some suggestions. He’ll next be hitting the forums tomorrow, and so expect a response then.

I promise you that I’ll re-open this issue and bring you back into the fray when it arises again. Because such an issue would definitely be working out if we could identify a pattern/source related to the calendar plugin. Let me know if you need anything else for your site in the meantime. Thanks again for understanding, Karen.
