We just implemented Events Calendar and Events Calendar pro (both are up to date as of 1/17/2012).

If I set a weekly recurring event it will show up correctly for some months, but not all. For example, I set up a Weekly event to occur every Thursday for the entire year from 7pm to 11PM.

It looks like all events are correct on the back end of the website, but when viewed in Calendar view for example the event shows up every day for February, and same goes for June.

    Any idea?

Hi Dave. Thanks for the note; sorry to hear that you’re having issues. I was unable to recreate this on my default 2011 install just now…so my guess is there’s something else at play, either a conflict with another plugin or your theme.

Any chance you could send me a screenshot of the event details (so I can recreate it exactly in case I missed a step), and a link to your site where I can check out the problem in action? Thanks in advance.

    Rob,

I am able to recreate the problem. See links to screenshots (didn’t see an upload button to attach one to this reply)

    Add an Event:

February (note that the month does not show in the month drop down… that’s another issue)

As the same event in March – shows up on every day

And the recurrent event shows up correctly in March

I started testing for a plugin conflict. We have Shopp on the site (which is needed on the site). I disabled it and POOF everything worked!

I found this thread on your site that mentions you may have some code to fix the problem. Boy do I hope you do!

Thanks for confirming, Dave – glad to hear this was a conflict and not the plugin itself. Let me see if one of our advanced devs can offer up some additional code (though I’ll have them do so in the other thread, since there are folks waiting for it over there too).

    Rob,

    Any ETA on that code?

Dave, to fix the problem with the month drop-down not displaying the right code, see here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/date-selector-on-grid-calendar-view-is-off-by-a-month/

Thanks a lot, Steve! You rule.

Dave: Let us know if that doesn’t do the trick.

That fixed the issue with the month drop down. Still have the recurring events issue. We can only put in recurring events for about 5 weeks at a time. Seems like any more than that and it will show up every day on a given month.

Thanks for confirming Dave. Glad to see that got the first issue resolved.

As I’d mentioned above, I am unable to recreate the recurring events problem – I followed your instructions exactly (even with the same event name/URL) on a vanilla 2011 install with no other plugins active and the issue did not persist. This makes me think it’s almost certainly a conflict with your theme or another plugin. Have you tried deactivating plugins, and reverting to the 2011 theme as necessary, to try and identify where the conflict is? That’d be my best suggestion at this point – if you can indeed figure out where the conflict is I can try and advise you best I can from there.

The site is already in product, so I’m limited in what I can/can’t do. I think it’s a conflict with Shopp (shopping cart), as that was the plugin that was causing the conflict that prevented the correct month from showing.

That could definitely be possible – doing a search through the forum archives, there were a few threads where other users noted Shopp conflicts. This was one of them: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/grid-calendar-showing-last-month-instead-of-current-month-in-the-drop-down. We’re working to hopefully ease the integration between the two plugins for 2.1, which is the next release and is what we’re working on now.

I think I found the way to re-create it.

Make an event starting on Feb 1 and have it repeat weekly until Feb 29th. It should show up every day in March.

I think it’s a problem with the Leap Year… not a plugin conflict.

Appears to be a Feb 29th issue… even if it’s not a recurring event. See video:

Could this be a server configuration or patch issue?

Thanks Dave. Still no dice, unfortunately.

Here’s how I configured my settings page: http://cl.ly/3F1Z0r2k2O1C1V1W1D1f (also tried with an 8am-5pm event)
Here’s how it looked for February in grid view: http://cl.ly/3i3e2s0m231g1U2j3P1t
And here’s how March looked: http://cl.ly/2R201i0a1Z0a1t1m1f3B

To confirm: you’re running 2.0.3 of both free & PRO, right? If so and if the problem persists my bets are still on the fact that it’s a conflict, based on what we’re seeing so far. Let me know your thoughts.
